Work on more of a slight twist when hitting side shots. Ideally, having your lower half slightly facing the rear of the stage, and your upper half slightly facing the front of the stage (the judges) will create a very dramatic effect by making your waist look smaller, and your torso look wider.
Check many of Arnold’s old poses and you’ll see how he always twisted to make the most of the differential created.

x2. While Arnold did not have a particularly blocky midsection, he wasn’t exactly wasp-waisted either. Yet he knew how to combine a slight hip twist, along with just the right amount of vacuum, to create the illusion of having a really small waist. Further, he would create a perfect line from his obliques up through his lats that produced a beautiful ‘sweep’ to his torso. For example:

Strength is up from last back and bi session. Still really trying to focus on contraction though. Up 3lbs today which i dont know how is possible but ill just assume i drank a little more water or something.
Little update.
Weight is 209 today so still up about 2lbs. Still on very low carbs until we can get my hams and glutes to lean out more. Needless to say im grumpy and hungry as fuck.
Calories have been 123g fats, 289g protein and 22g carbs daily for a wopping total of 2373 calories. Cardio just got bumped to an hr a day fasted.

Yeah his words were to have a burger and fries with a dessert in place of your last meal. He told me to make it a normal meal and not binge. Id say i did pretty good but i did get extra patties on the burger and a few extra fries but thats pretty normal for me right?! It was definitely satisfying and im ready to kill it tomorrow.
And dont worry ill be right there with ya on the food tomorrow. Back to my basically non existent carb diet And i aint even mad about it…yet. Lol
