I stopped somewhere around the middle of page 1.
You guys realize this thread was meant to troll right?
No one actually believes eating X calories of shitty food will lead to the SAME results as eating X calories good food, do they?

Well yeah obviously. Carry on. Wendy’s is debuting a new burger called the “Hot n Juicy” I believe.
Skinny guys: adjust your macros for the week so you can fit one.
Regulars: get 2 and maybe 1 more for dessert

Now that I’ve had a crack at you, I will say its ok to have a decent ‘off’ meal every week.

Totally.Real
I get Wendy’s “Cobb Salad” often when I’m on the road and sometimes I’ll get a Double and put the meat in the salad. I prefer BK burgers, but will DEFINITELY be sampling one of these on my upcoming ‘eat the fuck everything in sight’ days.

It is painful by how much you are missing the point some people are trying to make.

before i made a lot of money at an early age i worked at wendys and cooked the burgers and honestly as far as fast food goes it is not bad at all. the meat is simply beef that isnt frozen and there is not any grease added to them which is why I like them, and god damn that burger looks sweet, must have!

Also, I’m not sure where this idea that “healthy” gains are somehow better than “unhealthy” gains originated from, but I want it to die. Nobly suffering through boring food won’t make you grow any faster.

In terms of muscle growth, your genetics and metabolism are what govern that along with the training stimulus and overall food intake. So, in the sense of gaining muscle, he is not wrong. The only thing that can be argued really is body comp…and again, this is largely a genetic response as some people can eat cookies all day and still maintain all abs.
In other words, all people do not respond the same to the same type of diet.

so if I eat Mc Donalds Double cheese burgers and fries all day long for 6 months while lifting hard/consistently I’ll gain the same amount of muscle mass that I would if I had eaten free range chicken/eggs, grass feed beef, wild caught salmon and sweet potatoes as long as the macros were the same?
You’re saying I would gain the exact same amount of muscle but that I would more than likely just gain more fat with the Whack Arnolds diet? All other outside factors remaining the same.

Without using the minds-eye to put a picture of grass fed beef vs. chicken nuggets into our minds. The question is, would a diet consisting of the same organic macros vs inorganic macros in identical percentages produce the same result.
The answer is yes.

so me eating 2lbs worth of double cheeseburger patties from Mc Donalds every day for a year will have the same effect on my body that eating 2lbs worth of Grass Fed Free Range Beef?

if your macros are the same on both diets then probably yes but its near impossible to determine. Would look better and generally feel better on the MDD diet as opposed to Mcdonolds? ofcourse you would but in terms of muscle gain its really hard to say for sure because individual to individual is completely different

Exactly. the problem is in trying to identify food as “bad” or “good” instead of “works for you” and “doesn’t work for you”.
Yes, some people can eat at Mc Donald’s everyday and look better than you ever could. Fact.

What do you mean by “effect”? If the question is will you gain the same amount of muscle if all factors are the same other than who made the damn sandwich, the answer is YES.
Why combine “health” and “bodybuilding” like this as if there is no line?
Why would you gain muscle differently if all factors as far as caloric intake and macronutrient profile are the same?
