Eating Seeds (Sunflower, Pumpkin, etc.)

Does anyone here eat seeds on a regular basis, like sunflower and pumpkin?

I use sunflower seeds in my home made protein balls  good way to add extra calories

Pumpkin seeds are one of my favorite foods. This page talks about their micro nutrient value, well worth looking at.

I eat almonds daily… a whopping handful.

Almonds, pumpkin seeds and walnuts daily.

Pumpkin seeds are especially good for you.

edit: Flax too.

Pumpkin seeds, flax meal and almonds daily for me. Pecans/walnuts sometimes as well.

Carb content of said seeds?

carb content and then some

per 34.50 gram serving(186.65 calories), raw pumpkin seeds contain
6.14 grams of carbohydrate, of which only .35 gram is sugar
15.82 grams of fat with 7.21 from polyunsaturated, 4.92 from mono and the rest saturated
and 8.47 grams of protein

as a sample of micro nutrients, this same serving of pumpkin seeds contains 24% of your daily copper, over 50% manganese, close to 50% magnesium, close to 50% phosphorus, 17% zinc, and close to a quarter of your vitamin K along with a host of other micros. They also contain a nearly complete amino acid profile(whole protein).
Their omega 6 fatty acid profile is a little high compared to omega 3, but they can’t be perfect.
