I am new to nutritution. . I realise it’s not completely proven. But there have been quite a few studies over the years linking white flour with cancer.
The problem with correlation studies is that they very often don’t control for any other risk factors. So when they correlate eating wheat with cancer they won’t control for smoking, obesity, sedentary, working in industry, sun exposure etc… so what contribution did wheat make to the cancer. If any?
Also studies on diet are almost always self reported by the subjects, that’s a huge source of error.
Very often studies on diet and health are done on sick populations as well (diabetics/CVD/obese/elderly). So you’re taking someone with a compromised metabolism and making recommendations for everyone.
Wheat may cause some systemic inflammation if over consumed, but no more than the rest of a processed shitty diet (trans fats/feedlot meat/hydrogenated oils/sugar/hfcs).
Moderation…
The Sun can cause cancer, but you can still go outside.
Did you even read what you posted?
ehhh aren’t you like 5’ 6" and 250lbs? Something tells me you probably don’t need to worry about getting enough calories
I do I wasn’t eating enough. But yes thanks for that
You are literally fat enough to eat NOTHING for a month and be ok.
Don’t believe me? Google it.
I’m not trying to be mean, but seriously - not eating enough is NOT a problem you are having.
I am just following the advice I have been given here. I do feel like I am eating too much though (despite the calories being too low).
I did once eat very little for a few months and lose 2 stone. Don’t want to do it that way this time though.
Had a glance at your log, and your training looks very sparse to put it mildly. Get on a normal tnation template/double your work load as a minimum or as a husky guy you’re not going to get anywhere in terms of your goals of body recomp.
Metabolism and appetite will naturally go up as well and eating wont seem such a chore
Yeah I know I did bench today but didn’t include it. I have had the flu during the last two weeks. Thanks for the comments . I am going to follow an Olympic Weightlifting template with some benching included.
No offense, but if you’re 5’6" 250lbs and a novice at training and your main goal is fat loss, why are you training for Olympic weightlifting? Don’t get me wrong, I think oly lifting is great, and I may be way off base, but I just don’t feel like an oly program really fits your goals and training level
I think I might be okay it with practice. Plus it is my personal choice. Squats have a lot of time under tension too. I squat with a pause. I can high pull a fair amount. I can deadlift 530lb ,so I am an intermediate.
Ah, nvm then. I didn’t know your training history
