Eating and Obesity

The truth hurts.

Obesity is what’s really killing people. The worse part about it is that it’s entirely preventable.

This can be a very sensitive subject for some, but the fact is no one is born obese and no one must remain obese.

For 99.99% of people, obesity is an entirely self-induced disease by poor lifestyle choices.

Your health is a personal responsibility and only YOU can fix it.

Speaking the truth here. The fat acceptance and HAES folks will be knocking on your door unfortunately.

Whats haes?
Imagining a lizzo fan club…

It stands for “Health at Every Size” its an “organization” that promotes obesity - so pretty much a lizzo fan club or a place for people who don’t want to take responsibility for their health.

Meanwhile, 40% of these people blame their genetics.

Mmm. Reminds me of a family member who is dangerously obese but found an influencer who is fat and flexible. Made her say “i don’t need to lose weight, i just need to be flexible!”
TBH even getting down to do stretching would be better than sitting on ass, but its easier to keep watching YouTube so i don’t think she ever stretched either.

Did you ask her to touch her toes? If not, I recommend this next time :+1:

Also to be fair, i have always struggled to touch my toes with locked knees! Irrelevant to this topic but…

It’s funny that once I decided to be serious with training and nutrition and saw results, suddenly I was “lucky” in terms of genetics. When I was spinning my wheels in the gym and carrying a little paunch, nobody labeled me as such. In 99.9% of the cases when someone is flabby and weak, it is entirely their own doing, and not a “slow metabolism”, or “bad genetics”.
