Quite often I work a physically demanding job for 18 hours a day, 5 days a week. I’m able to take a break to eat a meal every 6 hours, but I’m looking for suggestions on snacks I can eat between meals. When I’m doing these long days, I’m not able to devote any time to food prep. I basically work, commute, and sleep.
Any suggestions on snacks that I can buy at a store that are healthy, relatively non-perishable (need to keep in a gym bag for up to 24 hours), and have little to no prep time?

Any reason to worry about the fat/carb meal that is fruit/nut mix?

Depends on your goals. I love the stuff but won’t touch it because I’m trying to get lean. My brother has a 3lb bag in his car at all times (travels for work) because he’s bulking and trying to get ~5,000 kcal a day.
It’s delicious and will provide healthy fats and a steady stream of carbs to keep you glycogen replenished. I’d say go for it a couple of hours before, peri, after your workout if you’re trying not to gain too much fat on a bulk…or look into Carb Cycling!!!
Here’s one idea.
-Buy a lunch box + reusable ice pack.
-Buy a lb or two of ground beef/turkey
-Cook all of the meat.
-Divide it into separate tupperware bowls and put in the fridge/freezer.
In the morning before you head to work take it out of the fridge, throw in some veggies, mayo, cheese whatever. Throw it in the lunchbox with the ice pack.
