Early Morning Heavy Workouts

Hey Coach

I am stuck doing my work out at 4 AM. That includes metabolic work and heavy work all in one time frame of 90min

The getting out of bed part sucks, but I am actually enjoying getting my workout in first thing in the morning. The question I have, is the last couple days, I have actually found that my big lifts, squat, deadlift, and hip thrust, I have actually been able to move more weight than usual. As I do not sleep very well on a regular basis, I would imagine that my performance would suffer as a result of this, but the opposite seems to be taking affect for the time being.

I have been doing a lot of digging into your research on Neurotyping, and could this phenomenon that I am experiencing right now be answered by what Neurotype I fall into, or is this just a short-lived adrenaline rush, that will wear off after a couple weeks?

Thanks Coach!
Also, congratulations on the new baby

4AM? That’s easy… that was my Sunday workout time…yep 2:40am, had to feed this little guy at 2.

What likely happens is that the poor sleep and “whiplash” effect of being forced to trained early put you in sympathetic mode (amped up CNS). Type 2A would be more “affected” by this since their adrenal receptors are more sensitive, but other types can have the same effect.
