How much do the farmer’s blocks weigh? looks like two blocks per hand… 16 trips across the yard will pack the snow down so it will last longer…[/quote]
I weighed on of the blocks once and it was 60lbs, so, about 120lb in each hand. It’s a terrific workout!
One more day of arms and shoulders before I do some pulling again.
Just trying to get caught up a bit, still looking very strong in snowland. Keep us posted on the Alpha Male use, I’m curious if you really feel or see it, or just know that it’s in there working? When my neices started getting older, I told my brother I’d buy him a shotgun.
I think it would’ve been cheaper just to get him some cinder-blocks to carry around…stay warm.

it snowed last night in the People’s Republic of Utah, so there will be no sled-pulling at lunch time behind the Zion curtain. I am totally going to make some farmer’s handles and dangle cinder blocks from them. 120lbs per hand is serious stuff!
Thanks Guys! Colin, it’s damned good to hear from you. Sorry, I’ve been off line for a few days. Last Saturday, I met with a few guys to do some pulling, takes a long time to get in a workout when you’re lifting with 4 people. Didn’t get in much work before I had to leave.
Today-Squats
Again, didn’t get in much work, had to wait for the squat rack, then reviewed video of my sets because I was told I’m leaning forward out of the hole.
Well thanks guys, but I’ve felt the last couple of workouts have been pretty shitty. It was kinda fun working out with a group Saturday, but in an hour and a half I shoulda gotten in at least 18-20 sets.
I think they help the start. Youre supposed to let the weight sit on your arms for 3+ seconds to bleed off the stretch affect. I do them, and theyve helped my bench.
