Consistancy pays in the sport of powerlifting.Keep hammering away.

Thanks mday! Actaully the last 3 or 4 Sundays I’ve been going out to the farm and worked on the woodpile. My stepfather was pretty ill this past Spring and still can’t do much heavy work. Usually by now we’ve got nearly enough wood split to last us both through the next Winter. But I’m the only one splitting this year, so, I’ve got a lot of work ahead of me still. I’ve got about half of what we need done so far.
I dont know much about your northern species, but in the photos you posted a while back it looked like some nice ash you were splitting. That will burn nice and hot this winter.
Be glad you dont have any gum like we do down here, you can pound on it for a year and never split a piece when the block is dried out.
Good splitting and lifting!
Thanks willy! Right now I’m working on a big white oak. That’s usually our tree of choice. We’ve got lots of them and they burn and split really well.

Oh man!! They are tough work, especially the big ones!
Your workout still continues to look solid.
Strong on those GMs, DZ. Tell me how those pull-throughs are when you have a chance; I am thinking about taking them up.
Good mornings, noon, and night! Great lower back strength. Describe pull throughs when you get a chance.
Tie a rope to the bumper of a truck. Tie the other end to a two-handed handle. Holding the rope. walk ofrward til it is taut. Place rope between legs and move forward until in a crouching position with the rope still taut, back facing the truck. Now try to pull the truck forward using both legs simultaneously.
Using cable stacks is safer though, as they don’t hit you in the behind…

That’s a great description of them. Here, this might help as well.

Since there is no glute/ham machine at my gym. I was looking for something to do. I felt it in my muscles at work last night, but no soreness or anything today. I’ll continue to do them, switching around from heavier weights, then higher reps.
GPP today.
I brought home a bunch of big chunks of wood so I could work on it here at home.
1 hour splitting wood
4 reps across the yard W/ 80lb one arm bucket farmers.
