You mean you can see the ground already! We’ve got at least another month…
Here’s an idea: next winter flip the tire full of ice. A good progression would be adding an inch of ice every week. ;-}
LOL, yep, a week ago Friday we had 15 inches of heavy wet snow. Yesterday it was 58 degrees and raining. I was thinking the same thing about the tire, that sucker was heavy full of water.
Let’s see, Sunday I threw. It was 72 out, the sun was shining, the birds were singing. There was a little mud in the throwing area but I endured. Came home mowed the yard. Yesterday broke out the shorts. Sorry guys, I know the weather gods will get me for this.
Workouts looking strong as ever DZ. Hell, I’m pumped for your first meet. Can’t wait.
Thanks guys! Don’t worry hel320, when Summer comes around and you all are baking in the deep South, I’ll give ya updates about our mid 70s temperatures.

ME Bench is looking strong.Any problems with your bicep?Nice work.
Thanks Jimmy! I had some anxiety about todays goals with the bench, but things went pretty well. I’ll admit my butt came off the bench a couple times, I’ll have to work on that. Bicep is fine, I haven’t been training left any different from right, but I can still tell left is weaker. I was a bit concerned about that ache I was taking about, but that was shoulders, traps, and biceps. I really think I just over did it Saturday, and you helped set my mind at ease when you said it just means I’m training hard.
I shoulda listened to my body this morning and took today off. But it’s my daughters B-day tomorrow, and I wanted to spend the morning with her and still get 4 training days in this week. My damned arms and shoulders are still killing me. I think I’m over due for some time off but I’ve got two full weeks of training still before a week off before the meet.
I’ve pretty much strayed off of my program since I wasn’t going to get it finished out prior to the meet. And I didn’t want to work legs today so not to interfere with squatting on Saturday.

Now that I look at those again, I wasn’t doing them quit right, I like them though.
DZ, take some joint stuff. I take a shit load of supplements. I try to overload on potassium and magnesium. If you have an Aldi store near you they have the best bargain for glucosamine/chondroitin. Good luck and train hard.
Thanks Barry, I take a supplement that’s supposed to be for joints, it’s a blend of fatty acids. The pain I have seems to be more in the muscle, ice and heat has been helping, but it’s been affecting my training.
While my aching shoulders and arms seems to be getting somewhat better, it’s still affecting my training. My goal was to be doing doubles with 255 today.

Yea QT, I really am. I’m not where I wanted to be with a week and a half of training to go, and these aches and pains have had me a little worried about how I’ll feel on meet day, because they’ve been affecting my lifting some. But I’m going for it all the way! Actaully I wasn’t hurting too bad after today lifting. I come home, ice down the arms and shoulders, then get a hot shower, and I usually feel better.

Nice training bro!Focus,determination and the desire to move the weight.Your putting it all together.
Thanks Jimmy! With one week of training left, I wish I were stronger than I am. I keep telling myself that just over 18 months ago I was getting the last of the stitches out from the second surgery on my arm and hand and wasn’t sure I would ever move heavy weights again. Anyway, I’ll thank all you guys again for the help with my training and newb questions about powerlifting. Got a private meeting with the other guys going next Saturday after the gym closes to go over some stuff and check out my equipment. Got a Titan singlet to wear, although it’s not required. I think I might lift in it next Saturday to see how it feels. It’s tighter than I expected, but I guess it’s supposed to be tight huh? As long as it’s not considered support equipment.
