Nice pull. This is a legitimate question, so please don’t think I’m talking shit: why are you wearing what you are?
Why was I wearing what, high socks? I wear those to lessen the impact of the bar on my shins.
I meant the outfit? It looks kinda like a wrasslin" singlet.

Yes, it’s a Brute wrestling singlet. I wear that when I pull because it reduces the friction caused by regular workout clothes, like shorts and pants.

Well done, mate. Technique has improved loads since ~2 years ago, and so has the weight :-)
Yeah, I never thought I’d say either, but nice ME pull. No hitch, no reliance on a suit anymore, no crazy air humping, and 3x+ bodyweight.
Back is still more rounded than I’d like, but it’s an ME record, so that’s expected, especially on a PR. Keep adding the upper back work in. Also, one thing that might end up helping your back rounding is working on hamstring/hip flexibility and mobility. You might be able to get more of a stretch reflex out of it. Also, shrugs, heavy supports (held for time), and keep the lockouts.

I guess I joined too recently to get the jokes. Can you explain to me why everyone treats you like the bastard child of T-Nation?
At any rate, a hell of a lift–I’m impressed.
He had some cringe worthy form in some of his earlier lifts.
I’ll say this much though, he’s stronger than 90% of the guys that criticize him.

Very inspiring. Thanks for sharing the video. I was so shocked at how much your form has improved. I think some of us (including me) have some catching up to do.

Who was that directed at…? Serious question cos I didn’t see anyone mention the Konstanov style of deadlifting at all in this thread, although it is pretty much how Max pulls.

it was directed at the person who listed the credits and had “Spine (RIP)” sorry it was a bit late and I usually don’t quote in a reply. I guess I should have quoted or made it more obvious but when I went to post I think his was the last one on the thread.

You’ve come a long way my friend. Always judge your future form against that video. And delete those painful bad form lifts you were doing.
WNPF is having a meet in Nanuet NY about an hour from you in August. Come pull 525 and blow out your weightclass in the raw division.
This guy’s got the right idea. Be sure to set new goals.
