I know the standard for weight training is a ratio of 2:1 carbs:protein, with either dextrose or maltodextrin as the carb source and whey as the protein source.
If I’m in WRESTLING PRACTICE, what should I consume to preserve muscle mass during water breaks? Same thing? More protein? More carbs? What type of ratio, etc?
Probably the same thing is going to be fine. If you mix your own its going to taste like shit. I usually do 60g of dextrose/maltodextrin to 30g of hydro whey; it tastes horrible. I’m going to try mixing in 10g of Gatorade mix with 50g of the dextrose/maltodextrin mix to see if that livens things up a little. Gatorage mix is sucrose/dextrose.
