Hello people,
Im 25 years old male,
Due to an injury my Total Testosterone started to drop progressively during the last 1,5 year-period. The first blood test 2 taken 2 days after the injury showed 19 mol/l - 550 ng/dl Total-T. The next blood analysis was taken 3 months after the injury and it showed 15 nmol/l - 440 ng/dl. The latest 3 analysis show steady 14nmol/l - 402 ng/dl.
Why I took testosterone analysis after the injury? Well, I got injury to my gonads/testes so I wanted to see what my Testosterone levels were at for future references. And the blood tests during the last 1,5 since the injury show progressive drop in the testosterone levels.
Now, blood tests in the end are numbers, and IT IS more about how the individual feels, right? Now during this 1,5 years I never EVER felt so bad in my entire life. Right now as Im typing this post, I feel old, weak, and really, really fragile. Also interesting to note is that after this drop in my Testosterone levels I developed hypothyroidism. Im 100% sure it is not a coincidence. Because blood tests show that as the Total-T dropped the TSH got higher and higher, while T4-levels dropped progressively too.
Im taking thyroid meds now for the hypothyrdoism situation, however Im sure that if I get my Testosterone levels into the optimal range that my body was used to produce and have. Than the thyroid gland would function optimally too.
Now would injecting exogenous Testosterone be a good idea in order to feel normal again? Or by injection Testosterone, my FSH and LH levels would drop, and as a consequence the synthesis of pregnonolone (the mother hormone of many hormones) would lower, because it requires FSH and LH.
Damn, it looks like when ones hormones go out of the balance, you try to fix on thing, the other thing gets out of the balance and than you try to fix that thing and etc, etc, etc.
Doctors do not want to do anything regards testosterone, however only are willing to manage the hypothryroid situation.
Any input would be very welcomed and thanked for. Also wouldn’t mind if someone would discuss regards the balancing hormones in general, when testosterone gets out of balance, (in my case lower than usual). Maybe someone has a similar story or any knowledge/input/help.
SHORT VERSION - IN A BLOODY NUTSHELL :
Age 24, gets kicked in the nuts during soccer game.
Testosterone dropping progressively. Feeling as if Im shrinking and dying. (No exaggeration )
Age 25 Testostérone levels are 26% lower + developed hypothyroidism.
Should i just start self inject Testosterone? Or hold it pal, its not that easy. ?
