i made a post about supplements and the thread was lost. but i was told to “drop the NO2, buy some Surge and BCAAs instead, if you’re not already doing so.”
i know Surge is for recovery, and i have a great recovery shake already, and i switch from straight BCAAs to animal pak. But the main question is, why would i drop the no2? ive been taking no xplode for the past 2-3yrs and i cant workout without it.
BCAA’s are not the same as animal pak.
If you “can’t workout without” no xplode I guess that’s that. Although, you could read this.

You’re working as a personal trainer?!
yep just turned 18 and just got certified, nothing fancy, im a “starving college student” now so money is tight so i just went with esa. i plan on getting certified with ace when i can come up with the 500 bucks. and i know bcaas arent the same as animal pak but i dont like putting all that crap through my kidneys in one day.
but… why was i told to drop the no2, people that i talk to and myself love the product
If you cant workout without no explode then get some caffeine pills(Spike?) It should have a similar effect on you as the stimulant effect from the no explode.

. . . .
well i preferably want to continue taking no xplode. i was just curious why i was told to stop taking it and substitute it with a recovery drink and bcaas? it just makes no sense to me.

good response…
to put it in easier terms, i dont like to take a full dose of animal pak and a full dose of bcaa during one day. i really dont know if my kidneys and liver can stand up to 10g of creatine a full dose of bcaas, the 10 massive pills in animal pak, no2, 100+ grams or whey just in one day.
correct me if im wrong about worrying, becuase i honestly would like to know if i will make it to my 21st b-day w/o having to have some sort of transplant.
1.) Read the article I linked to in my first post. That will tell you why you were told to drop the NO2. Apparently you decided it was too much work to click that link, if you still decide it’s too much work, I’ll be happy to sum it up for you in a convenient paragraph.
2.) BCAA’s do not damage your kidneys. The studies that found a link between protein and kidney damage were with subjects with pre-existing kidney conditions. You could eat a whole bottle in one go and your kidneys would be fine. You could eat a whole tub of protein at once and I’ll bet your kidneys would still be fine.
Your intestine might be upset with you though!

Did anyone else’s head just (no) explode?
My advice would be to drop all supplements and start reading every article that’s ever run here. Then pick out some supplements that are worthwhile (like BCAA’s and Surge).
Your body, your clients, and the world will thank you.

Glad to help, there’s a lot to learn. I don’t know if you’ve read through the stickys at the top of the beginner forum, but I would really recommend you do that. There are links to a bunch of great articles that would really help you if you are going to be training people.

Right on. I’d recommend checking out the links that Brant_Drake mentioned as well. Lots of good information compiled there.
Protein and kidney info.
Agreed, I’ve only been here for a month or so can’t remember when exactly but basically, the beginner forum has some awesome beginner threads in it. Some guys took the time to trawl through hundreds of articles and grab the relevant ones for new people. Like your avatar btw brant_drake.
all good info thanks a ton!
