Drop Sets/Super Sets?

How do you guys let doing drop sets and / or super sets ( same body part ) affect the total number of sets you do for a single body part?

For example, if I do ten work sets for shoulder, would that change if I did 3 sets of side lateral raises with a single or even a double drop? What about three super sets of lateral raises and wide upright rows?

Would it be best to do 7-8 total sets if I use these techniques?

I want to use some of these intensity techniques but don’t want to overtrain. Thanks

I’m not a big super set guy, but when using drop sets I usually do less overall sets.

When I do triple drop sets I’d use the same amount of sets. Needless to say I’d do this rarely just to spark new gains.
