Wouldn’t that depend on how much alcohol affects you? I mean 1-3 drinks is just not drinking at all for some and makes some a little tipsy.
I don’t usually have a problem with alcohol affecting my performance in the gym because I don’t drink that much that I feel sick or something like that.
For endurance sports it makes a bigger difference in my opinion. When I played soccer I layed out the rule to not drink more than 10 beers the night before a game because if I drank more, it might affect my performance in a negative way.
I think the biggest factors to consider with alcohol consumption and sports are a) calories, b) obviously Performance taking a hit because you feel dick and c) sleep deprivation.
I can’t imagine that 1-3 drinks a couple of nights would harm you.
