Arachne: it’s pretty cool

Wiggles: thanks!

LilP: then it’s the best way to do them.

Yesterday’s workout

Sheiko 37 week 3 Day1

Bench
85 1x5
100 1x4
115 2x3
135 1x10 - vid for Peaches
135 1x5

Squat
120 1x5
140 2x4
165 2x3
190 5x3

weighted pushups
+10lbs 5x10

Dumbbell flies
15lbs 5x10

Goodmornings (cleaned form floor)
85lbs 5x10

Squats
120 1x5
140 1x5
165 5x5

Jealous of that bench. I can’t wait to see the video.

notes:
My bench was nice and strong, I’m pleased with vid and form setup. Once again I was asked why I was benching with a dangerous arch by a trainer. oye.

On a rather negative note my squats went all to hell. I only filmed once on the last set of 190 and the truth is when I get tired I simply revert back to my bad old habits. It’s all good mornings and crap form. This at the end of the day would be the main reason why I would not pursue Sheiko after 12 weeks. I’m just reinforcing bad habits. disapointed really.

Nice lifting, I’d love to see an over all write up about Sheiko when you are finished.

Hey, I thought you had a new setup for the GMs so you didn’t have to clean them every time. Not that cleaning a weight to use it for something else isn’t cool and badass and all.

Bench vid - all cleaned up too.

Wow you have the best arch ever!

YEah, what is it with trainers and their anti-arch stance? That happens to me all the time too.

I actually get that from other “lifters” also.

Ain’t nobody like the arch!

Joe: I’m planning on a pros and cons type of write up so people can decide if it’s for them

FK: We have only 1 rack in my gym so when you see goodmornings cleaned from floor that means someone else was using it. In my defense the program called for 5x5 but since I was using light weight I did 5x10.

Nice work mainy. Your arch is freakin killer!

Nice benching!

I had to watch that video like, 5 times. Every time I’m thinking, OMG, Frenchie is freaking hovering over the bench. It was like watching the Matrix!

And look at you wearing a tank top! Bad. ASS!

Bench is awesome Mainey. & your husband is a lucky man to have that arch.

Well I never get a comment about my arch so I guess mine isn’t killer enough. :frowning:

Thanks for the vid Frenchie, I like seeing how other set up and their arches and all that. Very helpful.

And repping out my next plate!!! Grrrr motivation.

Frenchie, watching that bench press video was the highlight of my morning. LOVE the setup.

Because there is only one squat rack in my gym, my seated GMs usually happen on the bench press just like you described. I actually prefer to set them up in the squat rack, though. I like the idea of safety rails in case I can’t get that shit back up again.

AHAHAHAHA! That setup was SO powerlifting it hurts! Fucking beautiful

!!! WHOA!!! Nice fucking bench!!! WOW!

GREAT arch! You’ve got some major flexibilty! I am quite envious…:)!

On the high volume sq thing I concur.

I give you props because i ended up doing the same thing after ONE session of sheiko with back squats. I just think I do better with less volume on those for sure for that exact reason—bad form and getting all screwy just to get your reps in. You’re doing awesome though, I hope the last week goes smoothly!

great arch!!!

nice pressing too.
I think I need to get on the seated gm bandwagon too

Ha I was just thinking the same thing. All sorts of ideas were going through my little (dirty) head.

The first 3 seconds of you meeting the bar were pure grace nlmain.

Some are going to thrive on higher frequency with the big lifts, others aren’t. I just think it’s important to find out what works for you, and run with it. I do commend you for actually giving Sheiko a solid try so far also, too many people would do a week of it and bail.

Pussies.

LWI!!
