Double Stimulation and 5/3/1?

I read the article on double stimulation training, twice. I’d like to add it to my 5/3/1 programming, and would like to know if it’s a good idea. I’ve been doing the 5/3/1 program for a year, first with BBB then switched to first set last with joker sets. BBB wasn’t giving me results, but FSL 3 days a week is working well.

Although Wendler would tell me Im stupid, and to stick with the program as written, I want to grab every bit of progress possible since muscle building comes very slow to me.

It will work, however the drawback is that 5/3/1 calls for 3-4 days a week of training. Double stimulation work only if you do the isolation work within 24 hours of the main workout. So you’d have to go in the gym for 15 minutes the day after your main workout. It can be unpractical for some, but if you can pull it off it will work.

Thank you very much for the reply, Mr. Thibaudeau, much respect to you and your comtributions to fitness. I have all the gym equipment I need at home, so I can do the work every day without a problem. I hit the main lifts three days a week, and should be able to get the 10-15 min feeder workouts in on my normal off days. Very interested to see what the results will be.
