ok so I generally try to avoid most “machines” in the gym and stick to barbells and dumbbells (compound movements). But my gym has this “dorsi flexor” machine thing that is like a seated chest supported row where you pull back on the handles and then lower in a stretch, repeat. So very much like a chest-supported dumbbell row I guess. I used it the other day as a “finisher” and I could really feel it working my whole back- especially mid back.
Anyone familiar with this machine? Is it crap, or do you think it can be useful as long as it does not substitute for the compound movements/mass builders in a routine?
