Short bike ride and light leg stuff.

The leg is improving nicely, The shoulder seem to have a tender spot on the pec tendon.

Wednesday

40 min bike ride got clipped at 22km/h on one of those speed monitor. Not bad for an hybrid bike with a rider that prefer the gravity part of the bike path. And it is a hot and humid day feel like 30oC.

The shoulder got tired a bit on the few km.

Last week I did something that pissed the patellar tendon so I eased back.

The good news, I saw my ortho yesterday and there was no inflammation at the implant site. So I am free to do what ever I want but use judgement to not over do it and set the thing back.

June 14,

First time out on the pump track with the DJ. I can ride 45min but 3 laps of the pump track and my heart is about to explode. The shoulder and knee were cool with that but I rode slow, got some rhythm. Absolutely not jumping but that was tempting.

Sunday June 16

My legs were sore the day after the pumptrack.

Tonight we went to the BMX track. 2 rounds of 2 laps and I was done. The shoulder is ok with the motion, still keeping the wheels on the ground. I did raise the pre load to make the suspension a firmer but not faster. The knee is also getting better.

My cardio suck.

Monday

Feeling and a massive heat wave is coming with temps well over 30oC plus high humidity so it will feel more like 40+

So I did a 45min bike ride. Lets call that steady state cardio.

Wednesday

Morning bike park fun. Did rollers, small pumptrack, table top line and 1/3 of a flow trail.

I had stop because I was getting a bit too bold and tempted to try some jumps or drops.

Still riding the DJ.

Friday,

The knee is doing pretty good and the shoulder is ok considering that I am doing more.

We went to the bike park for a quick session. PB brought his bike.
I did a bit more, went up 1/2 the flow trail still not doing some of the bigger feature as I don’t want to get any air.

After PB laugh at me pushing my bike up most of the way up, I handed him my DJ and got to laugh after he stopped at the same place I did. Gears are fun. He offered me to ride his bike but the seat, even when fully down is too high for me.

If my knee hold up, I will start back in the gym too. Still doing a lot of shoulder mobility stuff.

Saturday,

Processed a few chickens, I was able to do most of the work.
Cloned some tomatoes for the green house.

And made it to the BMX track for a few laps. Technic is getting back, keeping that fork soft. I was able to push much better, pulling is still not very strong and speed comes back and things get jumpy and I don’t want jumps at the moment.

My cardio is not good, BMX track is a lot more intense than MTB park.

Monday, June 24, It is La St-Jean!

After 2 days of solid rain, it got clear and warm so we had a nice date night at the Pump Track.

I was able to ride the track with out a single pedal stroke. Also link many laps together. It was heart pumping mostly leg work out but a few times I had to push down hard and fast to keep that front wheel on the ground and not manuel a double.

I also move a new chicks out of the house. It is hard to believe that such small fluff ball can be so loud especially when you want to sleep. So out in the barn with the hot plate.

I think that I will resume gym workout this week.

Friday,

My knee is doing good and I got a mild gym session.
My shoulder got a bit sore from doing more at work but not so bad.

Tonight we will go out biking at the pump track or the bike park.

Friday night bike ride.

Went out on my trail bike. Climbing was the hardest on my shoulder. My cardio is shit. I made it twice to the top of the flow trail. But after that I did push my bike 1/3 of the way up to the bigger trail. Going down was fun

That bike rides a lot different then the DJ. Longer, wider handlebars, bigger wheels…

Monday July 1st, official moving day in Quebec or Canada day, what ever float your boat.

I still do light leg work out.

Today we went to the bike park. I made it to the top, pedaling all the way up. Nearly die but who cares. Also made 3 times to the mid way for the flow trail and did many roller and table line in the skill park.

Cardio suck but the riding down is getting better if I look when the heck I am going instead of looking at rocks under my wheel. I also rode a very small rock roll, no drop but more impact and that was good, I was also more comfortable going up on the steeper sections.

I did jumped 1 table on the trail but it is very chill and mellow.

I also had to wait a bit more for my BF to catch up to me.

Tuesday night we went to the pump track. It was fun, I did more and venture a very chill mellow pop on to a table. All is good.
That is a fun acceptable form of cardio too.

Today, Wednesday it will be a leg work out in the gym after work.

My mtb is in the shop as the fork decided to suck down. But I have a back up :grinning:

Still going, got my trail bike back after a massive lower fork cleaning.

I am thinking of starting a very chill PPL to see how it goes with the shoulder.

Made it to the bike park before the rain. I did a lot of pushing my bike up the hill. I did clear a few tables and case one pretty bad but the shoulder is ok. I was all good at physio.

Friday,

Yesterday, I did my first real structure work out. I felt good during, after and today.

Tonight after work, we went to the bike park for a few runs. As we are un loading a car pull next to us and it is my ortho. She was very happy to see me riding even if I ride slow with out any jumping.

My cardio suck in the 30oC humid temperature. I am starting to think that I want an SL emtb.
