Donnerschweer: Lifting, MTBing and rehabing

Day 3, cycle 5
Still improving, but it still suck.
Numbers are going up, still feeling ok.

Day 1, cycle 6

Morning walk with the BF and Lucifer. Made it to a small hill and hiked a 12 km just under 2 hours. The first 30 minutes were hard then it was easier. It was also 25 celcius at the start and 29 by the end.

Felt good in the gym, I did not even back off on the cardio.
Tomorror is leg day and chiro night.
Over all a good day.

Day 2, cycle 6

Lazy warm day. 2.5 hours riding the lawn rower in the sun.

Leg day, squats are feeling better. At 90 degree they are getting solid, ATG I made it to a whooping 35lb.

Deadlift are coming back, too.
Stamina, that will take some time. I sweat more then ever, doing not much.
I still have a bit of bruising at the surgical site on my belly and still feel swollen too.

I can see a very big difference in size between my legs. The left one look like a stick.

My neck was a mess at the chiro.
Tomorrow is an off day, but I get a massage in the morning.

Morning body work.
Got new activation work to do for my useless leg. At the moment it is not doing much.

Day 3, cycle 6.

Body is feeling better, mentally still not enjoying it. Rehab suck, work is super slow and I hate doing slow stuff.

I can see the benefit but still not fun.

Really good to see you back lifting Donna (That’s my nickname for you, Donnerschweer is to damn long and Donner sounds strange to me).
Rehab slowly building is the way it sucks big time, but bite the bullet and soon it’s over.

Start of cycle 7, got to make it to 10 or even better 12 before getting onto more fun stuff

Donnerschweer is actually (donner=thunder and schweer=big, massive strong)
One of my many horse came from Germany with the name. I changed his name to something somewhat easier, Deimos (the Greek god of fear or the smallest moon of mars)

Day 2, cycle 7

Sunday hike around 12 km harder trail then last week.
Leg day. Squat almost at 45lb, deadlift at 115lb. Still not very exciting but going in the right direction.

Day 3, cycle 7
Had to stop because of pain, sharp burning pain where the mesh is.

Day 1, cycle 8

Feeling flat but everything went as planed.

Trying to get information on the mess issue is like near impossible.
Can’t talk to a nurse so I have to wait to see the surgeon on the 3rd.

Day 2, cycle 8
Aka leg day. I decided to go easy, like what I do is not easy enough yet. So nothing got any heavier. Felt good, let see if I am in pain tomorrow.

Lately my dog walk are in the streets because the bugs are just to crazy.

Day 3, cycle 8.
Morning play time in the trails. Chainsaw and machete work.
Work out was very good. We had the gym to ourself so pick the music. Billy Talent for today. Poor young guy who work on sunday afternoon get to hear some different stuff.

Tomorrow everything is close but the gym as it is la St-Jean. So hike and gym.

Day 1, cycle 9 :confounded: 3 more cycles to go. I hate rehab.
Made it to 72lb for 4 x 10 on the bench.

Now lunch then after noon hike with the bf and Lucifer.

Deadlift got 3 set of 10 at 115lb right a the end of the session
My squat still suck, balance is my biggest issue or my left leg is not working hard enough.
I think, I need a bit more single leg stuff.

Other wise, I feel good and I am starving all the time.

Leg day

Step up 4x8 per legx15lb db/pendulum squat 2x10x10lb, 2x10x15lb

Upper body assault bike 2 minutes

Back squat 4x10x45lb (Those are hard, especially rep 7 and up. But all are well below parrellel)/goblet sumo squat 4x10x12kg
Pretty straight compare to earlier where I was leaning on my right side.

Deadlift 10x95lb, 10x115lb, 10x125lb, 10x135lb/seated good morning 4x8x60lb/3x5x60 extra box squat (that is easy)

5 minutes assault bike

Left leg is weak and a bit sore with the humidity. Mostly the plate is sticking to the muscle. So that is why I add some leg curl as this seem to help.

Surgeon visit, every thing is looking good on the hernia side. She did not like the swelling on my leg so I get to see my ortho in august. Still waiting for the plate and screws to come out.
