Donnerschweer: Lifting, MTBing and rehabing

Well doctor put me on full rest. There is some fluid that need investigating. The only way I am confortable is laying on my back.

I choosed to cross the boarder in Ontario. Much faster to have the testing done. I wiil take 1 week wait over the 4 to 6 weeks here in Quebec.

No clear conclusion of what is going on.

Still off work and I can stay up for more the 30 minutes at a time.

I am waiting for the last test results (contrast mri). The surgon is doing an elimination diagnostic.

The masse will be removed but they would like to find the root of the problem this time as it is not the first time. But this time it is a lot more painful.

I hope for a fast return to normal, I am the worst couch potato ever.

I hope they get it figured out and get you fixed up soon!

Heading for surgery by the end of April. It is a small hernia in which a lot of tissues are stuck. The more I move the more stuff slide in but it can’t come back out. That is why it hurt so bloody much.
The masse double in size over 1 month.
So I move as little as possible so the problem does not get too large.

Happy to hear it’s something that can be fixed. Sending happy healing thoughts for a speedy recovery.

Surgery on the 12. I hope to be able to work before the end of the month.
And get back in the gym as soon as dr clears me.

The pain is getting annoying. I feel like I am getting stab in the groin. So couch it is for now.

Hang in there! Any news on the hardware in your leg?

That will wait. I hate being on my ass. The leg is annoying but this hernia down right stop me.

I have to the more I rest the stiffer the knee is. And to have both done on the same day is unthinkable here in Quebec.

The 12’th will come quickly, hope you’ll be back even quicker.
You’ve had enough going against you, so it’s time for some good to happen.

Got hernia surgey done today, now 4 weeks of nothing.

So pain is minimal but the not doing much is hard. I am not permitted to lift anything over 5lb :persevere:. 5 lb is like my kettle full and that’s it.
And I am also still confused with moving is important for healing but avoid walking too much.

Maybe that means lots of short walks.

Stitches are out, almost no pain but some swelling.
I am going stir crazy, so is the dog.
I see the surgeon next week. Can’t wait to start doing stuff again. I miss the gym, my 3 yo filly is ready to start work, nice weather is just around to corner.

I am clear to get back to life! 50% for the first month in the gym. Just to be safe.
I treated myself to a nice back yard walk to start.
No Lucifer, he is at the vet. :scissors::cherries: he will be fine.

Great news, really great.
Now just get back to it nice and easy, the big workouts will come quicker than you think

Lucifer had a bad reaction to the meds. So he is swollen and sore. I am stuck icing my poor boy and keeping quiet.
The devil is locked up and the cone drives him nut. I was expecting some swelling and pain but now I feel bad for him.

Yeah you’re a bad mom, poor boy.

Made to the gym. Bench or the position is what cause the most discomfort.

I kept it very short and stopped when I felt a mild burn in the groin.
