Awesome job Paulie.
It kinda puts it into perspective for me; I’ve still got a lot of fat to lose but even with calories as low as 2200 off / 2700 on I’m only seeing 1-1.5 Ib a week loss.

Finally done.
Not as shredded as I’d like to be but I’m down over 60 lbs and sitting at 190.
Reverse dieting for about 2 weeks now.
Lean gaining for a year.
Competing next summer if life permits.
Edit: OH I cannot believe I forgot to add this when I first made this thread.
When you show off some new ink you have to give credit to the artist.
My coach is IFPA Pro RJ Perkins. You can google him or look him up on facebook. He is a rad dude and has been a great coach the entire way through.
I’d definitely recommend him to anyone in search of a coach.
I’ll be sticking with him throughout my off season and using him as I prep for my first show.
If you don’t mind me asking. Going through what you’ve had to go through now to loose all that extra weight, if you had your time back again would u have taken a slower more planned approach to your initial gaining phase?
Phenomenal work dude and thanks for answering my question ![]()
Gonna be awesome to see what you look like come competition time with such an insane waist
Very nice work.
I really like that you didn’t make a big deal about dieting down the last few months on here and just now present the end results. You know, just getting the shit done.
I hope you really stick to the reverse dieting approach now.
Thought I answered both of these yesterday.

Paulie - What food did you miss the most?
Nothing really. If I really want it I’ll fit it into my macros.
Otherwise though what I miss is the life style. Eating what I want when I want. Not having to worry about portions or fitting macros.
Being a bbq and just saying fuck it or my friends inviting me out for drinks after I’ve already hit all my macros for the day. That is what I miss.
I’m starting to get back into enjoying myself more but within reason and not too often. Getting back to balance.

How many calories did you end your cut on?
depending on the day could have been about 2350 or 2550ish

If I could go back in time and start from the get go knowing what I know now but as a newb. (how to weigh count design macros) Then fuck yeah I would have taken a slower approach. Too bad most newbs don’t know how to do that.
Don’t get me wrong I might have even still hit 20% at some point in my journey but definitely not much more or anywhere near as fat as I got.
Getting that fat really fucked up a lot of areas of my life man. It really wasn’t cool at all.
and don’t worry about it anyone can ask questions it’s cool

Good point to make. There will always be people who feel that getting ‘soft’ (I’ll use a polite term so as not to invite the usual TN derailment) is a means to an end, but if it negatively affects your life, then you really have to look at the big picture. If you’re a young kid in college, being the ‘fat-guy’, or even just being a bit self conscious because you feel pudgy can be a splash of cold water on social situations for many reasons.
Great transformation. I have a client I worked with who dropped over 50 lbs in a year’s time. Nice and steady, slow and healthy progress, and after a little break (he does manual labor all day and had a recent injury), his plan is that now that he’s gone from ‘fatty’ to ‘athletic’ dude, he wants to step it up to ‘competitor’. As proud as you are right now (and rightfully so!), I have a feeling that in months’ time, you’re gonna be throwing up new photos and bathing in a new landslide of compliments!
All the best Paulie.

Awesome work man, great results.
Absolutely amazing job man, I’m sure you’re hearing a ton of compliments wherever you go. Can’t imagine how hard it must’ve been at the start to climb that hill mentally. It makes it all the more impressive IMO.
And anyone who says he wasn’t very fat is crazy lol you can be both that and very strong as well (which he was).
Whoa, good job man! Looking awesome. Proof that hard work pays off. This really has me thinking about hiring a coach now for the future to help me out.
figured I’d drop a back pic.
Myspace angle illusions and instagram for the win.
Great work! Very inspiring!!
Excellent work mate
You look great man. Good job.
Yep great job.
Man, epic work!
Still looking like you’ve got some serious pythons going there.
Hey Paulie congrats on toe cut you look frickin awesome!!
This interests me because we are similar shapes in your starting pics. Zraw is coaching me through my cut at the moment at what point did u start to see major changes? After the first 30lbs? 40lbs?

I was looking through my phone at the random pics I took over the year and this is how I feel like I changed visually.
10 lbs - almost no visual change
20 lbs - Everyone started congratulating me on weightloss
30 lbs - people hardly noticed
40 lbs - people hardly noticed
50 lbs - people kinda noticed a little bit
60 lbs - DUDE WTF YOU LOOK AWESOME!
SO a lot of this has to do with me only losing 1-2 lbs a week and weightloss isn’t always linear so sometimes I’d only lose half a pound or nothing some weeks while others I’d lose 3.
ANYWAYS be ready to make a lot of progress and you being the only one to notice or even care a little bit most of the time.
In the end though it’s worth it.
If a list of the top 5 absolute best feelings in the world was created, looking good with your shirt off would be on that list.

Looking forward to seeing your progress as well, as hopefully it will pave the way for what i can achieve!
You are doing well brotha, keep it up!
