P.S P.S - forget about supplements.
I think this is a little piece of gold, if utilized correctly. I still use a multi, fish oil, vit d, calcium, and a digestive enzyme, but when I dropped all my other supplements and focused on getting my nutrients and protein from whole foods, my gains reached all time highs.
By forcing yourself to eat whole foods instead of supplements and protein shakes, you ensure that you are getting a good amount of calories, instead of simply throwing down one shake and thinking that you’ve gotten everything you need.
Personally, utilizing whole foods instead of shakes has helped tremendously, and is something I think could be very beneficial for the beginners who are to focused on the top new supplement or flashy protein shake.

What do you mean “straight caffeine”?

Recently a few posh supplement companies have introduced an alternate product, “gay caffeine”, which in addition to increased energy, also induces fruity hand gestures, high vocal tone, tremendous focus on fashion and gossip, and a longing for capris and messenger bags.
It is yet to be determined how successful the product will be, as it is only in its pre-release stages in San Francisco and Miami.
Something for you to consider next time you find yourself in GNC checking out the latest Xtra Uber Mass Elite Gain 9000 Xtreme that’s on special that week. This is the most useful piece of nutrition/supplement advice I’ve picked up on this site:

All beginners should stop thunking in terms of $ and start thinking in terms of eggs… If X supplement costs 50$, or 300 eggs depending on where you are, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD buy the eggs.
Now, consider all supplements that promise ’ 1 kg of RAW muscle’, visualize 200 eggs. That is the amount of food needed to build that muscle, no, that is the SURPLUS needed to build that kg of muscle. Now look at X supplement. Do you think a gram or two of some wild herb powder is going to amount to the effect of 200 eggs?
I would listen to what Bonez has stated TS. My first case of Spike was the Shooters and they’re so intense it threw off my focus on the foods I ate. I’ve since found the Shotguns and they’re much better (for me) at keeping my mind on what goes down the hatch.
It can be done on about $4/day (Wal-Mart) and yields 200 grams of protein and 3100 calories. Eat this in addition to what you normally eat. Quit spending money on weight-gain powders.
I also recommend liberal use of salsa (anything Pace gets my vote) and Tobasco sauce to get all those eggs down.

Then i go work out with my girlfriends dad (my girl and i have been together for almost 3 years now). We lift well, and i dont feel tired at all.
Bonez has you covered for the advice, i just thought i’d say that the above sounds like a cool situation - steady girl, good relatinship with her dad and support in working out. There’s a lot going for you.
