eh? I was biking for pleasure but forgot I hadn’t been doing much recently and I hadn’t eaten much before that. I’ve since rectified that little matter with a large salad with tomato, cucumber, mushroom and avacado. Followed by lemon-pepper salmon and steamed broccoli.
…with a steak, rare, and potato, baked of course, for the main dish!!!

no could do rug, but a couple/three beers and scotch or two completed the evening.
I’m using it as often as she’ll let me so as not to lose it. Your biking sounds like my swimming. Not something I do for cardio but for fun. I just got a mental picture of Joe walking down the street in coat and tie and dropping to randomly do some push ups.

I am allergic to coat and tie, I get away with nice jeans and polo shirts at work. But other than that you are spot on.

George, nice work. That is a huge amount of weight to walk out! Heavy walkouts have really helped me gain confidence with increasing my squat weight. And so much depends on the thoughts that run through the brain after unracking. At least for me.
But I would caution you to watch your depth on your squats. I don’t think you’re dipping below parallel. You know how picky our judges are.
Snapper, I see what you mean. That first rep was definitely high, the second was marginal and I think the third was good. Time for some remedial action…
Bump
Been training on my own in my home gym for 20 yrs and filmed myself for the first time recently. I was shocked to learn that my “below parallel” squats were in fact 1 or 2 inches above parallel. So I’ve knocked the weight down 15% and am going ATG. Dogpile, set up your camera low down (about knee height) and directly to the side of your rack, that will show you your depth exactly. It is impossible to tell from your angle. Mine was a real eye opener.
Holy Cow! I take a little time off and you turn into a beast Soldog. You’re moving some really impressive weights my friend. And done at home like you have is a testament to your determination. Great work.

Yep, he is a dog in more ways that one – both his avatar and lifting weights to make others jealous or impressed.
