That’s a pretty cool looking bar. They definately look tougher than regular back squats. I’d compare it more to a high bar version. Nice squatting.

Well that’s 2 out of 3 long term goals achieved. I got 319 squat at the meet (315 was the goal) and my 3rd deadlift attempt was to have been 407 or 419 at the meet but I didn’t get to it because of the stumble on my 2nd attempt. I must say that 405 went up way easy for a max and I left more in the tank for another day. This session took an hour and I was deliberately taking my time once I found I was feeling good enough to try 405 even after a short night last night. Now to just get that last 20 pounds on my bench to hit 225 before Iâ??m 50.
Congrats George, that PR had to feel good.

Thanks Joe - yes it did feel good!
SD’s in the 400 lb club. Nice PR.
Great job, George!
The video would not load for me, but I’ll check back in in a bit.
Edit: That flew up, you got some more in you, great work.
405 went up so easy for you! Congratulations. That is alot of weight.
That went up fast. No way is it your max. What’s next?

X2.
Time to set new goals. You’re just getting too good!
Great job on the deadlift!
You’re going to be a hard guy to catch up to at this rate.

C&Ps felt good again today, singles at 130 again didn’t feel like 96.3% of max. Pullups with added weights are fun. It was almost two year ago when I was doing chins with added weight and then I worked up to +42.5x3. I didn’t really know what to expect with pull-ups so I worked slowly up 5#s at a time. Discovered that a 45# plate doesn’t work well with belt, the chain just isn’t long enough. I’ll count the +45 as a baseline PR. Still figuring out front squats. I leaned forward on the way down on the first attempt at 225 and just put it on the safety rails. The bottom-up back squat from an ass-to-grass position was “interesting”. My second attempt was full of wavering and I cut it an inch or two high, but I’m still gonna count it as a PR.
nice work on the deadlifting- great job on that PR-
plenty more in there.
I leave for a couple of days and come back to a handful of PR’s - nice stuff!
Looking good on the front squats.
405 DL, 225 front squat, and a bunch of C&P. I like what I’m seeing here. On the front squats, if your head or elbows dip, your back will follow. Keep your elbows and head up and the squats will be more stable. (I know, easier said than done.)
You’re really making consistant progress. Good on ya. Jealous of your front squats.
