A few years of getting JVs out of the slammer right put me off the childbearing. Enjoy your well-deserved break.

I washed all the windows inside and out, replaced two outlets with GFIâ??s earlier today then decided to do something in the way of weight training. I’m still feeling washed out from Friday night’s indulgence and yesterday was spent in the recliner. Havenâ??t done something Friday night in a long time and probably won’t again very soon. Just under a week until I fly east to visit my mother and be there for the interment of my father’s ashes.
great lifting at the meet and congrats on the prs

Box jumps (13 inch box) x10, 10
OHS Barx10
Power Clean-Press-OHS
65x5
75x5
85x5
Squats
135x3
195x3
225x3
255x3
Walkouts 20 second hold 315, 405
Good Mornings
135x5
165x5
Band-assist Natural GHR x5, 5
Sumo DL 225x1 (CNS must be fried, this didnâ??t feel that heavy but I had a way hard time with it)
Found out I gotta work up to the OHS, GMs and Nat GHR. Also realized that the 319 lb squat at the meet was the first time I ever had over 300 lbs on my back. So I need to do more walkouts.
Those walkouts are really, really helpful, I’ve found. Of course, I’ve never had 300 lb. on my back.
405 walkout - you gettin strong soldog ![]()
Sorry I’m late but what a great meet! So many PRs is impressive. Keep doing whatever you’re doing because its working. How did you feel the next day after all those shots and beers? I can’t imagine you jumped out of bed and went for a 10 mile bike ride the next morning.

Thanks Steve - I barely functioned at all that Saturday, spent the day in the recliner watching DVDs from Netfix.
Your making me think I need to do some walk outs for core work.
Front squat bar position walkouts are REALLY challenging to the core - more so than squat position. They are scary sometimes.
I need to get some walkouts back into my routine. How heavy do most people go? I’ve read up to twice the 1 rep max can be used.

That makes prefect sense, I’m going to have to try that. Though I’ve always had trouble with the front squat grip.

Shldr rehab
A1 Bench barx10, 65x1, 85x10, 115x3, 135x3, 155x3, 165x3, 175x3, 185x3, 195x3 (PR +1 over October 1, 2009)
A2 Pendlay row same as bench
B1 dips 10, 9, 8
B2 Pull-ups 4, 2, 2
I’m pleased with the 3 rep PR at 195, especially after working up to it relatively slowly. The set at 165 was supposed to be 175 but I forgot to load the added 10 lbs on the right side. Wondered why my left side didn’t go up as fast on that set, at least until I went to add weight for the next set… Also well pleased with the dips as 10 is the most I’ve ever been able to do in a single set and 27 is also the most for a session. Shoulder health must be getting pretty good because I couldn’t do even 2-3 in the fall without hurting. Pull-ups sucked, on the other hand, probably because of the heavy rows.
Still debating over doing a deadlift session tomorrow before leaving on Saturday. Guess I’ll see how the back feels during the day tomorrow after this session tonight.

awesome dips soldog - you got me beat.
Good lifting. I think the meet helped with your confidence.
Thanks L’Main, Harry
decided I’m just not up to lifting two days in a row right now. So vacation starts this evening! I’m gonna try to get one or two weight sessions while back east and do what bodyweight stuff I can. but I’m not gonna sweat it if it doesn’t work out that way.
I’ll be checkin’ on y’all
I’m all about major deload weeks. when I’m on vacation I always totally unplug. Makes coming back to the game even more exciting. Can;t wait for my two weeks in August ![]()

Thanks frenchy
If I hadn’t just taken a week off after the meet, I wouldn’t even consider trying to do something in the next two weeks. But I have a feeling I’m gonna want to do something. Other than drinking beer in airports while I wait on delayed flights. Like I am right now…
Guess you won’t be watching the meet tomorrow at RMLC . . .
Have a great va-cay.
