Does This Demotivate Anyone Else?

I wish there was someone at my gym who was stronger/bigger than me to give me something to aim for. Steroids or not, it sucks being the big fish in a small pond.

It doesn’t demotivate me, it motivates me.

I was gonna do a parody of this thread, but I can’t be fucked. Must be demotivated.

What could cause this in regard to steroid use? As preposterous as this sounds I actually remember speaking to someone who said they knew a couple of guys who started using steroids and developed a high pitched ‘little girls voice’. I dismissed it as complete rubbish at the time but seeing as its been mentioned again I’m wondering if there is any fragment of truth in it.

Isn’t physically changing the size/shape of the larynx the only way to change one’s voice?

PEDs or not, there will always be people who “do everything wrong” and still make amazing progress. I know, I’ve seen 'em, and it can be a bit frustrating at times. What I’ve personally learned over the years is that I’m not one of those lucky few. I have to do everything right. I have to be willing to tend to the small, or seemingly inconsequential details if I want to reach my goals.

But the positive to this reality is that when I step back and realize my progress, it actually means a hell of a lot to me because of the road it took to get there. That’s why I only give a sh-t about what I’m doing. Comparing yourself to ‘Arnold’ will never be productive.

I have no idea, but I’m curious to find out if anyone can shed any light on this.

Yet again, the guy with the best post in the thread.

Most of you seem to have this stereotype that you use to judge guys who use steroids. Yes it is true that some of the guys who use gear will slack off on their training and diet when a cycle is over. Alot of this is due to the depression that sets in once the drugs have left the body.

But what about the guys who stay 100% committed to diet and training even when they are off cycle? None of you know anyone who is able to maintain their program and intensity when they are off???

I use, and most of my friends use. We all train together regularly. None of us slack off during PCT or between cycles. If anything, we work harder and smarter because we want to keep as much of our gains as possible. And we do keep our gains. Before I started cycling, I was like many of you. 170lbs, squatting and deadlifting in the low 300’s, benching lower than 225. Trained for 2 years all natural, and couldn’t get any bigger, despite 4k calories a day and all the OTC suppz you could ask for. 3 years later, I’m 220, my big three lifts have each gone up well over 100 lbs, my deadlift almost 200lbs. I can incline press 110lb dumbells for reps. I did a 50 yard farmers walk with 500lbs. I have more self confidence. I am better at my job. I fuck my girlfriend better. I sleep better. On cycle or off. I had my blood tested AFTER my cycle, well after PCT. And my free testosterone was higher than it was before I started.

Its silly for anyone to be mad becasue someone is using steroids. When I was natural, I never was jealous of the guys who were using. I respected them, because they were also the guys who worked the hardest. Don’t think that everyone who uses will lose their gains. You are lying to yourself if you think that

You make an interesting point(s). It’s matter of perspective for everyone. You seem to be comfortable with the choices you made and that’s all anyone can ask. However, and I’m not arguing with you here, said in different way you can apply the same logic to hookers. “I used to fuck fugly fatties but now since I started paying for it, I fuck hotties”. The choice matters to some people, and not to others. I agree you shouldn’t condemn anyone for the choices they make - decide for yourself what matters and stick with that.

Basically there’s someone i talk to at the gym. Hes been training for just over a year now. At around the 5th month he started taking steroids. He spent the next 6 months on steroids, had a month off and now hes back on them. In such a short time hes had phenomenal gains, with such poor poor training. He has terrible form, to the point that he has “invented” a few exercises.

It just kind of gets me down watching him do so incredibly well, regardless of the potential damage a 6 month cycle has probably done to his body. Just wondered if anyone else has encountered this and feels the same way? [/quote]

Would you get upset and jealous if you sat next to a guy you knew was a millionaire?

Do your own thing and don’t worry about him.
