Does my TRT Dosage Sound Right?

I’ve been prescribed 25ml of testosterone cypionate injected subcutaneously daily. I’m curious if this dosage sounds about right to you guys. 50 year old man and my testosterone was 204 at the start of treatment. The results so far have been excellent. Thanks in advance.

.25 not 25 ml

You have not told us anything about your dosage in either post. That is a volume you shared not a dosage which is in mg. How many mg/ml is your Testosterone?

I was assuming 200 mg/mL, but if it’s .25 mL daily, that’s 350 mg/wk, or in other words a cycle, not TRT.

OP what concentration is your Test C at?

200mg/ml is the most common but when I started mine was 100mg/ml. This would make more sense on his dosing schedule. We just don’t have enough info.

Dose is WAY too high. You should be on maybe half that to start.

200mg/ml

No wonder I’m gaining so much strength. Also taking 100 mg of dhea and 60 mg of thyroid.

Yeah you are taking steroid cycle levels of Testosterone. Short term prob nothing to worry about but you can’t do that long term without consequences. Maybe your doc made a mistake or you misinterpreted dosing instructions. Hell .25ml twice a week makes more sense than what you’re starting with.

Ok. Thanks for the information!

I agree with @blshaw. 350 mg/wk isn’t a TRT dose unless the person has an extremely rare disorder (you probably don’t have it).

The amount you are on is what I’d define as a low end beginner cycle. I think you should call up your provider and ask for clarification.

Could they be starting with a higher dose to get an immediate affect and then taper it down? I will get more clarification

I doubt it, unless your provider is more into bodybuilding / performance enhancing. It seems like something that could potentially get them in trouble, but IDK, some of these clinics get away with a lot (scripts for Deca, HGH, Anavar, etc).

I’d also hope they would tell you this if that was the plan haha. 350 mg/wk is more likely to produce unwanted side effects (not that the risk is super high on that dose, just higher) than a more responsible starting dose like 125-150 mg/wk.

Just for more clarification for you guys Incase I’m not giving enough information. The needles I use are insulin needs. I draw up to 30 then back to number 25. In 35 days I’ve used between 1/4 and 1/5 of the bottle. That still seem like 350 mg/week?

1/4 to 1/5 of the bottle…

Me too. I like the 27 gauge (not nearly as long to fill as the 28, 29, or 30s).

On almost all the slin pins (insulin needle / syringe combo), the syringe is 1 mL. 25 on the the syringe is 0.25 mL.

35 days times 0.25 mL/day is 8.75 mL. On a 10 mL bottle, it should be almost gone. What do the syringes look like? Maybe you have a smaller size where 25 doesn’t equal 0.25 mL? I know they make 0.5 mL slin pins too.

Orange plunger and cap. Syringe fills to 40 or 50 I believe.

They sent two bottles and are sending another in a week. That’s why I’m getting really confused. I can’t imagine I’m drawing the wrong dose. I’ll upload a picture of one of the syringes after work.

It appears you signed up with a windmill TRT/steroid clinic, where profits are priority number one and your health is an afterthought.

These windmill steroid clinics is what gives TRT a bad name!
