Lab Results after 4 Months on TRT

Did a male androgen test with let’s get checked. Values came out higher than I expected. 51 year old male.

Free androgen index 232.5
Free testosterone 50.9
What do you guys think about these numbers? Guessing I should lower my dose? On 280 mg test cypionate weekly. 20 ml daily sub Q injections.

You’re not on TRT. You’re “doing steroids”
as the term is commonly understood.

Did a doctor actually prescribe you 280 mg per week?

I agree with @BrickHead. Thats not TRT. Those levels are beginner steroid cycle levels. I take half of what you take and my levels are still optimum. I’m not implying “do as I do” as we all respond differently but you clearly don’t need 280mg/wk.

I would like to know this too.

He might even be fine with 100 mg, as I have been all my ten years taking testosterone cypionate (did Androgel or Testim before it, as said).

This dosage isn’t really considered TRT, this is a mild cycle. TRT dosing is 80-150 mg weekly with outliers needing less or slightly more.

Lowering your dosage to a more reasonable amount (100 mg) may be a shock to your system.

Ride it out and retest in 6-8 weeks.

IME this is what I’ve noticed with LGC.

I don’t think those numbers really matter. Blood pressure, lipids, liver/kidney health, CBC/HCT. Those are the numbers that I think really matter. Run your TT however you like while keeping all those in check.

Started at 200 then bumped to 350/weekly believe it or not after I completed a questionnaire. I didn’t go that high. Ran 280 for the next 4 weeks.

What is your goal or reason for starting? If it’s wellness, health and longevity you need to find a new clinic and dosing in the 100-150mg range. If your goal is to find a TRT mill to prescribe you the biggest dose, you’ve already succeeded. So I guess it just depends on your goals.

I don’t mind the over prescribing. I’ve got a nice stockpile in the medicine cabinet. I was a natural bodybuilder in my 20’s so it’s nice to get back in the gym and already have a physique close to what I had then. Having said that I’m not going to verily jeopardize my health either.
