Does Creatine Need to By Cycled?

Does anyone else experience more muscle tightness as a result of using creatine?

I cycle it, only because I find that I actually feel tighter and lose flexibility when using it.

Being a judo participant, and playing on a men’s soccer team, I find I get muscle pulls and loss of some range of motion (at the extremes) when using, so I cycle it so that in the “off-season” when I am lifting mainly with a more moderate training I’m OK and not at risk of injury, and then when a tournament is coming I go off, so that I can train more often in preparation.

Sounds kind of counter-intuitive, I know. I always chalked it up to the additional water in the muscle cells reducing the elasticisty of the muscles. Maybe I’m wrong.
