Dodgin’ Dadbods: Fortitude Training

Oof. No conditioning, exercise, or anything of the sort today, besides 8 hours spent on my feet at work. My legs are just so, so, sore. Couldn’t properly get into my car, had to just step one foot in and fall.

Damn dude. Initially followed you cause you were always talking with @Frank_C. Didn’t follow it too close because I was looking for 5/3/1 logs. Now you’re on 5/3/1 and the food is on point! What’s there not to be jealous about lol. Excited to see how well you’ll do on the program

Still beefing/egging it up til sunday tho.

I didn’t do much conditioning on tuesday or thursday besides jump rope this week because of that horrendous half mile of lunges, but will get after it tomorrow.

Speaking of beef. My 1/3 cow is going to cost me $599 plus $196 for processing this year. 1196 lbs live weight, 678 lbs hanging weight. I’ll have to double check the actual weight of food I get to figure out my dollar per pound cost.

Well done Flap, I kind of knew you’d get all the workouts done, but eating like a madman, that’s insane. You rock.
Can’t wait to read a write up on this one.

Strong finish Flap! Even better considering the mid program gym closure, food shortages etc, you adapted and overcame, looking forward to the write up as well!

Incredible work ethic dude.

Can we sticky the last 6 weeks to say “this is how you do it”

@T3hPwnisher thanks man. You were a big inspiration throughout.

@mortdk appreciate it man. Yeah, the food part was interesting. I’m still doing it today, although the beef is pot roast today - still chuck though, just not ground. I can still eat a fuckload of beef, but I’m headed for a short break from ground beef, I think. Eggs, though, I kind of don’t want to look at right now. Breakfast (6 eggs, cheese, toast, banana) was just an ordeal. Probably going to cut down my egg consumption for a bit and get more greek yogurt/cottage cheese in.

Thanks a bunch, dude. Very much appreciate it.

@alex_uk Yeah, it was a cool lesson - I was able to do all of it, food and all, without inconveniencing my family or spending above my means. I don’t have a bunch of money, so that puts the bar at a very achievable height.

Hell yeah dude. From the outside looking in, the diet is the biggest obstacle to that program and what has prevented me from taking a crack at it. Well done!

Congrats!

Now do Deepwater.

Thanks! Where’s your head at with the 5/3/1 BBing? No pressure if you’re set for something else or not feeling it, my choices for upcoming programs change alllll the time, haha.

Hmm. How long a run is it? I’m pretty ADHD right now, but I liked doing the same program @ChongLordUno was doing, so I’m definitely not opposed. When are you locking yourself in?

I’m basically the only person on here who hasn’t made it through a 5/3/1 program I think.

If I decide to go with it, 6 weeks, and I’d lock myself in not tomorrow, but the following monday. This week is going to be a bit of a deload with higher reps. Let me know. If you decide not to, I may go with a different program. Who knows.
