Hope all is well Flap. Looks like you’re still getting good work in and meals looks great, as usual!

You’re a better man than me. Way to make lemonade out of a pile of shit.

May I convince you to come to the dark side of mountain doggy style??

What’s the program?

Much like Jim, he’s got a billion that are all relatively similar.

The free one I’m aware of is on this site:

It’s written as if it’s 12 weeks, by doing every week twice. If you were interested, I’d be happy to run through this one as a 6-weeker (just for each workout once). It’s not my hands-down favorite of his I’ve ever done, but, like I said, they’re all just different flavors of the same concept. I’m doing one of his PPL ones now and just modifying to fit being at home.

I’m here to create converts!

I’ve actually looked at that program many times and wondered about doing it, haha. I’ll let you know. It’s either 5/3/1 BBing, that, or, since @kdjohn is an asshole and suggested Deepwater, and I’ve had the e-book for like a year since @t3hpwnisher mentioned how to get it for free, and now I can squat and deadlift pain-free, I dive into that and see what happens. Got a bunch to think about, haha. I’ll let you know.

I enjoyed the leg and back days on that program. Definitely saw some growth.

Sounds great! No matter what, you’re going to pick something that hurts - so you’re in a great spot!

Just let me know when you do come around to Meadows’ program either way and I’ll definitely jump in. I enjoy the way these are written.

My pleasure.

Home gym is getting a MAJOR improvement.

Bought 3 2’x2’ plywood pieces, 4 interlocking fitness mats, 4x4 posts, screws, and corner plates. Two mats will get attached to 2 of the plywood pieces and the third one I’ll stand on in the middle so I can deadlift in the house, and the rubber mats on the other 2 will fix my deficit from small diameter plates. The other 2 mats will be interlocked and cut to size to fit my bench, which I’m making from this video:

Can’t be bothered to find memory foam and pay for marine vinyl/staples/staple gun, so these mats will work just fine as a less-pretty option to top the bench.

No, you are not alone. I’ve started a few different ones but after the initial excitement susses out it’s no good.

Looks like Reactive Pump neccessitates a training partner,

You’re going to do one extended set with a “micro-stop” every 4th rep, when your training partners are going to add a standard weight (25-pound plate, for example) at each stop. Again, only lock out every 4th rep, and don’t use that stop for a long rest. The other reps should be short of lockout.

It’s gonna suck if that board suddenly detaches.

I mean, yeah, true. We’d have to work around that one, anyway, because neither of us has a leg press. So maybe lunge with body weight, then grab a 10, then a 25 and so on.

Good, just built that bench ^ 5 minutes ago and used two sawhorses as safeties, the bar touches them right about where my chest is when I arch. Perfect setup.

This week has been a LOT of jump rope, stretching, pushups, squats, kettlebell swings, and other stuff, but nothing formatted, since it’s a deload week. Still not quite sure where I’m headed next, but feeling good.
