Do You Train Alone or With a Partner?

In fact, they introduced me to the glory that is low bar back squatting. For the taller crowd, it’s simply amazing.

Do you chalk the bar and your back? When I get sweaty, anything remotely close to 3 plates feels like it is going to slip off and fall behind me.
I haven’t yet, but when I start bumping the weight up here in the next couple weeks I’ll keep you updated. I’ll probably try it for sets over 405.

365 for a few sets stayed just fine. I AGREE that it feels weird, but all I do is really lock (pull) it into my shoulders/back and keep my arms tense and really hold onto that sucker. Once I step back with the weight though, I just bang out the squats.

I think it’s a matter of being comfortable and simply trusting it. But I’ve only been doing it for about a month so maybe someone with more experience can chime in.

Makes me damn excited to squat though…

Alone. Its a bitch fucking kicking up DBs and not having a spotter but I find that if I don’t find someone with an equal if not greater drive to grow I quickly loose focus and intensity. I would basically have to train with another aspiring bodybuilder not some guy training to look sexy for the summer.
totally agree…

Alone…

Lone wolf style…

And yes, if I could lick my own balls…I probably would…

I’ve always trained alone as well.

You have some good arms dude.

My buddy is roughly your size, but not nearly as aesthetic.

Seize: Dude, cool pup

So yeah, I’ve been training mostly alone the last two years, at first I needed my friend just to drag my ass to the gym, then I was dragging him, and he wouldn’t go more than once or twice a week, so I dropped him like a bad habbit.

It’s just hard for me to find someone who is willing to train the way I want to as well as be ON TIME. Frickin’ pisses me off if I plan to train with someone and their 15-30min late, throws off the whole pre-workout timing, and anticipation.

Anyways, I know all the people I care to in the gym, the ones who train diligently and use good form, etc. Try to ignore the wannabes or the guys who put as much weight as they can fit on the Leg press and do quarter push-press calf raises with it.
