The “idiocy” was just me not knowing what “old lady” meant. I thought “She looks too young to be your mom…”

and thanks!
Oh I am sooo putting a slackline up under my treehouse! That’s cool.
damn a tree house!!! awesome.

ah! although girlfriend tends to be just as confusing. i shoulda went with lover. =+)

no problem… keep those pics coming.

and eat some more! i read in ur journal some comment about “all i’m focused on is strength gaining” or something and then a daily intake of 1500 calories. are you just begging for us all to come spank you?? i’ll kindly oblige.

Why does everyone want to spank me!?

Honestly, I’m working on the food thing. Thing is, I used to be a glutton and I’m reluctant to go back there. It’s not much fun to be chubby and I honestly think not many people are so pure at heart that they genuinely don’t care. I am going to EAT MOAR, but I’m still in the process of figuring out how much moar. (I do promise to keep it over 1500 consistently.)

have u seen ur ass??

i totally understand the mentality.

just keep urself “tracking” ur intake and calorie level. that will ensure you don’t revert to binging. but up the calorie level by AT LEAST 500 calories.

ur not going to suddenly pack on a bunch of weight… especially if you can have the work ethic to track what you’re eating. but your body needs more calories.

i’d love to see you eating 2000-2500 consistently for a month… combined with heavy lifting… and see where it gets ya. definitely not “chubby”.

i find for mental “stability” it’s kinda fun to eat a couple days at the low (1500 calorie) level… but then make sure to have a couple days at a high (2500 calorie) level. do the rest of the days near 2000… and u’ll have the same results.

it just kinda depends on what is going to make you happy while at the same time keep you feeling confident and in control.

whatever it is… it’s NOT 1500 calories a day for any extended period. that’s GUARANTEED to end in a seriously ugly binge. eh?

anyways i hate that this site doesn’t have “smileys”… it makes inflection so hard to guess.

i’m not tryin to lecture ya.

just giving my 2 cents.

ur hot as hell regardless. so shit maybe you should keep doing what ur doing.

but if strength is ur goal. eat moar. period. =+D

wow!

I took a look and those puppies and they are spankable!

Babe, you want to see chubby, go to my profile on FA and take a look at that old lady…hehehe
YOu are NOT chubby! Got it!

i’m reallly happy with today’s workout… especially since i’ve been on lower calories lately.

workout:

military press: 55 x 6; 65 x 6; 75 x 3; 80 x 3; 85 x 8
military press: 50 x 10, 10, 10, 10, 10
chinups: bw x 7, 6, 5, 5, 4 (+ 2 reps from last week)

then for conditioning we did:

20 sledge tire swings
walking lunges
plate walks (45 lb plates)
tire flips

repeated that circuit a couple times. each round took about 3 minutes. got my heartrate sky high.

time for FOOD!!!

Getting 85 up 8 times on the mp is pretty damn good. Nice.

Great work getting all that weight overhead. Are plate walks what I think they are: grabbing a big-ass plate in each hand and heading on down the road??

thanks rc. i’d love to even add 5 lbs on my mp 1rm. we’ll see.

yup.

we set up the dirt road so the tire’s at one end…and the plates are at the other. then we hit the tire. lunge down to the plates. walk em back to the tire. and then flip it 10-15 times.

i should get some farm pictures up. lots of crazy shit happens when you live on a farm with a SHITLOAD of different animals. this week has featured tons of alpaca on goat action. lol

I’d love to live on a farm again, nothing too big, just a few animals. A couple of goats for milk, maybe a couple lowline angus or herefords, or a dexter or two. A couple navajo churro sheep. A few chickens and turkeys. And guinea fowl. I love guinea fowl. I miss my horses–they went to live with my daughter when I moved into town with James.

James wants to know how big the tire is.

yeah… farm life is nice. especially just living on one…but not having to run it.

the tire is the smaller of our two. no idea what it weighs.

small enough to flip quite a few times. i have a giant one i can only flip once or twice… but my brother in law still hasn’t dropped it off here from the ranch. and i rarely make it out there to flip the sucker.

today’s workout:

back squat: 95 x 5; 115 x 5; 135 x 5; 155 x 3; 170 x 5
back squat: 90 x 10, 10, 10, 10, 10
rdl: 185 x 10, 10, 10; 135 x 25

43 mins----avg hr 125----272 cals burned

I’d love to hear the reasoning behind your rep/weight scheme for the squats. I was actually thinking to do something similar on my squat day tomorrow, putting some weight on the bar doing sets of 5 and then repping out to end.

Big props once again on the RDLs.

heya kimba!

i’m running wendler’s 5/3/1 so he’s done the “reasoning” for me.

i love it. gives you percentages and goals to hit each week and then you max out on the heavy set.

the boring but big accessory work has you do 5 sets of 10 for the same exercise at 50% of ur 1rm. (well minus 10% but that’s another story)

and i’m just doing whatever reps i feel like on the rdls. =+)

trying to get a couple big sets in for the calorie burn.

anyways… i’m loving it. i’m bad about never running programs… and therefore have let my squat lag. having a set plan and volume each week is making me very happy. =+)

the ebook’s definitely worth a read sometime. or one of the million threads on it.

I’m going to have to look harder into this 5/3/1. As soon as I feel more comfortable with my form and start focusing more on adding weight, I really need some direction on how to do that.

I’d still get the ebook, even though there’s a million threads. It’ll let you know where they’re coming from, even if it wont help u understand why

ya i definitely agree.

kimba… i think ur at a perfect stage to consider this program. i think it has a lot of use for beginners.

but definitely take ur time getting ur form perfected too. ur doing great at making the changes you need to. it’s admirable.

damn i’m in the best mood ever.

i’m leaning out so much faster than i ever have before too. and still getting to drink a couple beers when i feel like it. my nutrition has been freakin fantastic lately. strength hasn’t taken any hits yet either. life is good.

workout:

bp: 55 x 8; 75 x 6; 100 x 5; 110 x 3; 125 x 5
bp: 75 x 10, 10, 10, 10, 10
pendlay row bb: 95 x 13, 13, 13
hang clean bb: 85 x 10; 10

You’re strong, you’re lean, you’re eating on plan… blah blah blah blah blah
