oh and part of the reason i went with a 350 dl 1rm goal…was because i wanted to be able to rep 2x’s bodyweight for 10 reps. most 1rm calculators put 265 x 10 equaling a 350 max dead. today’s weight was 133…so the 270 for 8 puts me 2 reps away from that goal.
i’m quite glad i have another 2 months to try go get those extra reps…but i’m getting excited that i’m finally close.

yah kimba… i’d totally love it. u need to threaten NOT to spank me.
soldog- we have lots of blue moon and a couple different octoberfests. i also picked up a case of the bud light wheat… so i’m gonna give that a try. i was SUPER hesitant and reluctant to try it… but a friend highly suggested it… so i’m gonna have an open mind. i doubt i’ll buy it often though. too many favorites already. we’ll see.
my hammie’s feeling spectacular. no pain at all during farm chores. not even climbing over fences and squatting super low to screw caps on the milk chamber. woot!
the good thing about spending ur first 20 years playing lots of sports is that you can usually tell, in an INSTANT, whether a pain is serious or not. i don’t envy those nonathletes who are never sure.

o’fests are great, wheat beer not so much(for me)(bud lite wheat, wtf?) , some of the blue moon is excellent - just depends on your taste

yeah i really like octoberfests. i heart wheats (especially unfiltered) more though. and belgian whites are my spinach and own my soul. =+)
i like pilsners, really dark stuff, ambers, almost any craft brew, shit if it’s not a piss ass light beer i probably love it. what’s ur fav???
most any craft brew favoring the darker ales, current fav is Serria Nevada Pale 'cause I get it by the case at Costco. I used to brew my own but life got too busy and I sold all my equipment…
how many head do you have? I knew you have a farm- city kid who summered on a dairy fairm-
50 head small vaccums ugh.
not our farm… but we live on it. owned by our brother in law’s brother.
and there’s a goat dairy and cheese room on site.
right now we’re milking right about 50 head. the stand can hold 12 at a time… all milked through one big machine… with 6 pairs of milkers. only takes about 50 mins to do all 50. i remember before they built the dairy how it’d take half an hour to milk one damn goat. lol
we’re gonna be milking closer to 100 come spring.
oh i had a year i LOVED sn pale ale. yum. still get it on occasion. gotta love costco’s beer deals. =+)
i was up all night with bad belly cramps… not the period kind but the little brats got me sick kind. now i have a splitting headache. sounds like the whole family i nanny for has had dio and cramps too. at least i was spared the feeling of peeing out my ass.
Awesome work! I’m just so not good at the overhead stuff - got two bum shoulders to thank for that. But I will get there. I’m in awe of the chin with 25lb plate - nice.

ohnoes!
Very impressive chins and presses. 25# more weight added? That’s crazy talk!
I LOVE presses. Love them. There is just something so cool about throwing a barbell overhead.
i think i’ve done 1 rep with a 35 lb plate. i haven’t done weighted chins in AGES. i’m such a baby regarding high rep chins so i tend to strap on a plate just so i can do smaller sets. lol
presses are lovable. i think cuz they never make u feel like ur dying. well unless you have injuries. they’re just fairly “easy” on the body compared to many other big lifts. but they’re badass in their own right.
i’m totally tossed. we went to the inlaws to carve pumpkins and drink crown royal and eat cold cuts n cake after a long day of work. my gf and her sister are obsessed with carving since they never even got pumpkins as kids. we did ET, smokey the bear (for the old lady’s work since she’s a park ranger), a few demon goats for the goat dairy, a few princesses, batman, and a couple others. i forgot my camera but here’s kali’s smokey she brought home to take to work manana.
Yeah. I messed up my right shoulder benching too heavy too often when I was in my early 20s. Physio I saw a few years later said it was a chronic injury, in so far as it would never be 100% again. I’m more careful with it now, I do a lot of broomstick dislocates during my warm-up, and if it gets cranky during my workout, I back off. It’s all crunchy inside but at least I have restored the ROM to almost normal.
Left shoulder started playing up a year ago so, not wanting a repeat of the problem, I read Shoulder Savers and started doing a lot of scap stuff. For the first couple of months of the year I did no benching or overhead work, just push-ups and a fuck load of rowing. It seems to have done the trick but, as with the othr shoulder, if it shows signs of getting worse, I back off.
Gritting my teeth and toughing it out was what made the first injury permanent.
