The guy’s facebook page is now taken down as well. The video is back on youtube, with the names of Blythe and the black belt, William Dennis, on there.
They should never have fought, or talk to each other in the first place. I mean after 5 years old I’ve never had the desire to entertain myself with mentally challenged people. They should’ve just restrained him and brought him out the gym, maybe one punch.
But once it started, I don’ tknow if the fighter was all that wrong after it it turned into a fight, he was mad people have tempers. The rest of his dojo should’ve just stepped in earlier but they looked like they were a little scared of the black belt anyway.

This really represents marines great.
yea you know what we as Marines should try to be more courteous and respectful for god fearing bisexuals like you that can’t handle a little talking shit. I guess thats the type of individual you would prefer protect your way of life. Face it you’d sleep better if it was a starved, cocky, angry motherfucker looking for a fight.
Although, you yourself have got some fucking balls saying the men who were nicknamed Devil Dogs by the German army, submitted Japan in WWII and took Fallujah don’t have the right to be cocky. You’d fit right in, talk to a recruiter.
Lol, shut the fuck up.

This shit went straight throughout the web, he’s probably been receiving threats like no other

But in karate there are old school motherfuckers who are like the guys in the video. I know a few. When I was young I had them inflict their bullshit on me.
The way I was taught karate is you have to be cruel and ruthless or you are not real. For karate people those guys in the video are keeping it real.
That’s why I don’t consider the martial arts I practice to be karate anymore, I consider it Kung Fu.
This is along the lines of what I was told. One guy pretty much just shrugged and said shit like that happened all the time, before karate became so commercialized.
Up until the seventies karate was an extreme, fringe activity. The marines who were bringing it back from Okinawa weren’t spoiled rich kids who had soft lives growing up. They were rough working class people who the corps turned into killers.
I’ve tried to explain this before, those old school karate dojos were nothing like a modern Mcdojo. It was also an era when two men getting into a fist fight didn’t end up in law suits or assault charges. Back then black belt initiations were about as brutal as that video.
Dojo challenges were something that happened like that all the time.

Not sure that’s true.
Chitose may have taught Dometrich prior to that.
Chitose taught in Japan not Okinawa. There is a difference between having one student and a dojo full of marines at about the same time. In 1954 Harold Long got Shimabuku a contract with the marine corps to teach karate to the marines. That is why Isshinryu is the most widely praticed Okinawan karate in America.
Even though he was considered the top master on Okinawa, Shimabuku lost most of his Okinawan students because he taught the marines. That is why there are so few Okinawan Isshinryu masters.

But that’s the only part really tripping me out about the vid, it seems like they tricked the guy into showing them something and then ambushed him with an attack which proceeded to go waaaaaaayyyy too far - at the very least he should’ve had the common sense to not throw the stomps at the end.
I mean, I could somewhat (kinda) understand if the guy had dojo stormed and called everyone out, but he clearly stated a couple times that he was not a fighter and didn’t want to fight

In the karate mindset that video is something to be extremely proud of.
#
What the fuck ! I trained for over ten years in Shotokai, which is totally and unequivocally about SELF DEFENCE.And is definatly considerd “real karate”.Shown in the video is nothing to do with karate, it is a beating. This video is disgusting.
And anything or anyone who either agrees or has no negative feelings towards it, is equaly as inhumane and cowardly as the person depicted in the video

From the video it appeared the guy had a fair amount of Kung Fu training. However the big difference between Kung Fu and Karate is karate people tend to be fucking assholes. So I am sure that training in Kung fu he didn’t encounter the type of person who trains in karate and didn’t know what he was walking into. Plus he was not altogether there and fully understood where he was.
The moral of the story is that is the kind of people you find in karate. People who will think nothing of dropping a knee onto the back of the neck of an unconscious man who did not want to fight and then proceed to stomp on his head while he is having a siezure in order to do more damage.
I am sure that if you asked the black belt why he did it he would say it was because the man said he was a tenth dan.

That’s what I’d heard.
But still- the fact that this sensei knew this guy was retarded makes it worse to me, and unforgivable.

well, i can’t open the video, but i gotta agree. obviously the level of the guy’s mental abilites is hard to judge, but at the same time, it’s not unuasual to run into someone with a mental illness. taking advantage of those people isn’t funny. that’s why we need to people to watch out for those who can’t protect themselves. in this situation it should have just been another student.
and to the jackass marine who is rationalizing this to taking Falujah…you’re an idot. this ani’t war-it’s a “self-defence” art. yeah, i’ve been there too (literally), and this isn’t any real comparison. martial arts are taught to prevent acts of violence, or at least minimize their effects.

That sensei is a sick piece of shit, so is his punk student. It is real disheartening to see some poor fellow who doesn’t have all his faculties get assaulted like that by karate people.
I think the instructor in white overcompensated in brutality because the lanky mentally ill guy was actually giving him a hard time. That last kick to the head was really unpleasant.

It took them many years because I was hard headed but my teachers made me really hate karate. I just cannot deal with the karate mentality anymore, that shit made me go insane.

Despite not being all there mentally he was holding his own with that punk black belt.
Sure is easy to be a badass against a guy who is:
- Insane
- Very small
- Has no experience in fighting whatsoever
I fucking hate people like that. People that think they’re strong because they can abuse those weaker than them. Martial arts should never be an outlet for bullies to be bullies.

Doesn’t your photo avatar contradict your post here? I see a small, weak animal being hurt for no practical reason whatsoever. I’m actually more offended by that photo than seeing a mentally ill Jesus freak getting his head knocked in.
