A client of mine is experiencing winging of her scapula when performing many movements. Besides the obvious, her ART provider (who is also my ART guy) has recommended that I do some direct serratus work.
Does anyone know of any drills to facilitate the activation of the serratus during benching and/or serratus exercises?
I like inclined, locked elbow, full range dumbell raises. Plane of motion along the body. x axis. punch them out as you raise the dumbells. GO LIGHT. Heavily involved in ab rollouts and the incline pec minor raise. That last name I am not sure, but incline, locked elbow “punching the ceiling” is another description. push up plus is purported to have the greatest level of activity. simply keep pushing at the top of a push up. Can be done if the person is weak as girlie push up pluses. (on knees. Not one to argue or defend that name, but a very good position for a girl is on her knees, IMHO)
