Any problem with adding dips as an assistance exercise on both press and bench days? Eg Press day: press(531)
dips (5Ã?10)
chins (5Ã?10)
Bench (531)
dips (5Ã?10)
rows (5Ã?10)
So basically following the triumvirate but using dips on both days

I use dips on bench day and incline on OHP day. That pretty much covers all of the pushing planes of motion.
Nothing wrong with it - once again, do this for a 6 week cycle then reasses. That’s why we work in those blocks.
I did it for a 6 week block and loved it, definitely added strength to my pushing overall.
What I like to do is bodyweight dips (sets of 10-12 reps) on bench day and weighted dips (sets of 5-6 reps) on press day.
Just tossing it out as an idea to help keep things interesting.

Exactly what I did, except reversed. Works great for me.
It’s an especially good idea if you suck at said exercise. My chin-up performance sucks, so I have removed rowing for the time being and am doing lots and lots of sets of chins throughout the week.
Thanks or the replies. I’ll try it out for a cycle and see how I like it then
