It’s been a long week taking care of the house and everyone(including the Man and dog) and adjusting to my new thyroid hormones. Which I think are at that set point already where I need to raise the dose. But my appt to get more labs isn’t for another 5 weeks grumblegrumblegrumble
I’m going to try splitting this little pill and taking half in the am and then about 3-4hours later.
All I have to do is fill out and mail the paperwork back to see the ‘super awesome has a clue and knows what the hell she is doing’, Dr. And I will have an appt in about a month!!!
I’m also missing the gym. I need to figure out a way to start back…I have a feeling less will be more and as much chide and down talk as total body training gets, I got the bulk of results from and enjoyed it.

Hallie- thanks! I been splitting it and not crashing as hard.
Should be getting my appt set up in a day or two. I will ask for the lab slip to be sent prior to my appt so they know exactly what they are dealing with when I show up. Hope it works out like that!
I popped my gym cherry this morning!!!

Did 3 sets for amrap(not many! lol), trying to rest only a little between exercises.

Band pull ups

I will gradually add a few things back in but overall I want to keep it basic. I’ve always wanted to get good at BW stuff anyway and I intend do my first unassisted pull up this year!
Since taking time off I haven’t had any shoulder/elbow/knee trouble and I’d like to keep it that way!
The only trouble I’ve been having lately is that my neck is very very stiff and achy. First it was my back which I thought the disc had finally bulged…but now the pain has settled into my neck. It’s all connected though.
It was horrible driving home to MI in November…I had to continually turn my head side to side or else it would get STUCK!!
I’m trying to do all the home remedies for it for awhile until I call my doc so when she asks ,‘Did you do this this and that?’ I can say, ‘YEP!’
Oh god, I know all about the stiff neck. You can try getting an adjustment if you can find a chiro you trust. My ART girl does both (she’s also a chiro) adjustment and massage but it still gets stiff. I’ve not been able to go to her for a while, due to finances, but I have learned to pop it myself. Horraay for pull up goals, this excites me. You know sometimes I think it’s more about mind muscle connection than actually not being strong enough. Really reallY think about using your lats, even just hang there for a second and tense em all up and then PULLLL PULL, holy shit all mighty.

Cal- the neck thing SUCKs. What caused it for you and did you make it go away??
It doesn’t help that the Man says I have a knot the size of a banana in my shoulder blade, lol!
Hiya Spock! we’ll see. I’m thinking losing these extra pounds will help too…which is also the year for that.
I think I caused it by sleeping on the couch a couple years back. I woke up one morning and couldn’t turn my head to the left…it’s only been recently that it’s causing me more annoyance/pain.
I think it’s from all those sleepless nights on the couch
MT- I’ve been sleeping good lately! It was through the summer/fall
Also we/he bought new pillows and I think they are too doughy? Along with this thick padding that goes on top of the bed…it’s too soft.
so it turns out I’m not a ‘Primal,’ girl. I took on this challenge and kept failing everyday, lol. I agree with a lot of aspects and ideas behind it though.
I’m ready and NEED to kick start some weight loss though before I continue any further down this squishy carb trail.
I’m thinking of going the Atkins route. Anyone ever tried? The induction sounds scary. But it’s not forever and you slowly add back in carbs until you start gaining…which could be helpful for me to figure out in the long run.
