Dig Through the Ditches

Masch- I’ve been eating this way too long to cut everything out, just like that.
But sometimes it’s good to take a step back.

I think I would end up like your friend!! lol

oh, 5 months is a pretty short time to be worrying about not losing weight. I agree with your thoughts in that she probably just needs to work on the good eating and exercise…It’s hard to tell this early because hormones are still shifting…baby may not be sleeping through the night yet, etc.

enjoy your Thanksgiving noms

Nope she’s not doing any of that. Going from one fad diet to another. Her husband is the one who says to get her thyroid checked out. I don’t want to be dismissive but it just sounds like she needs to get her diet together with no quick fixes. I also don’t know if maybe she’s going through some post baby depression thing, she had her baby 5 months ago.[/quote]

There is no reason not to get it checked EXCEPT they may not check it properly and may not read the test results correctly. If she wants to get it checked she should. LOTS of women go HypO after childbirth. She will need to get these tests: TSH FREET3 and FREET4 and she will need to REQUEST A COPY OF HER LAB RESULTS with the lab ranges. Don’t just have the doctor glance at it and say “you’re fine”

MIMS I know I’m such a bossy beezy and I truly am solly… vegan is probably NOT a good idea. HOw could you do it? You should not eat any any any soy except fermented.

There are other ways to get protein.

Truth be told I don’t even like tofu that much to eat it EVERY.DAY. and I’ve never had processed soy foods.

and with I am closing this thing down. “see,” you soon!

MinM-

I was a vegan thru most of college prob til late 20’s
cleared up a TON of food allergies while I did it

red meat- dairy and wheat all gave me problems

now I eat all the FOODS

have a great holiday

happy holidays and safe travels

I would say something but you’d probably just go ‘ew’ Yes there are many times I act like a 9 year old.

Thanks Hallowed! Passed on that info.

Happy holidays & Tuforkey Day.

We made it safe and sound yesterday morning. Just hanging out doin a whole lotta nothin! With all this vegan talk I’ll probably go out hunting with the hubby in the morning, lol.

Friday I am getting my ink…half sleeve should be complete, ya!! Not sure what the plans are for the weekend. I can only take so much of sitting around not doing anything though. But I make the best of it.

And about the vegan thing. I’m just flirting with the idea. It intrigues me. And the way I see it, I’m more than half way there. The information is out there and it’s hard to ignore. I feel like I should be doing everything I can to heal myself. If that includes decreasing my reliance of animal products, then so be it!
! I’m on day 3 of no animals(no soy)…and feel lighter already!

On that note,be safe out there and eat some turkey for me!

Nila wafer face

What is your tattoo? A unicorn eating a rainbow muffin?

Happy thanksgiving

HEheheehehe :stuck_out_tongue:

what if it is?? :stuck_out_tongue:

You crazy hunting vegan! LmAo.

Haz good rats and good times MIMZY.

rats???

I didn’t go out hunting yet but the hubby FINALLY got his first doe yesterday…he so proud.

I got some more of my sleeve worked on, but not finished sadly. But it’s coming alive and I’m happy!
It’ll take another 4 hr session to complete.
I was a trooper and the fellas were impressed.
As I was admiring myself in the mirror the head tatt dude said ‘do you work out??!’ LMAO!!
I took it as a compliment. And those silly boys were such flirts anyway.

It’s so funny having a tattoo place smack in the middle of farm country. It’s dividing the line between old and new.

I hope all is well out there!!

Betty, I’m glad you are having a good holiday! I’ll look forward to pictures of the new ink.

Uh… wow… I don’t even know what I was trying to write! LMFAO.

I’ve tried vegan before, I’m a life long vegetarian, but vegan was too much for me. I loves my cheese. Also it’s really hard, not impossible, to be low carb and get enough stuffs you need in. Go vegetarian for a bit and see how you do. The cut more if you want.

Oh, and FWIW I’ve always dated the meat and potato, kill it himself and eat it partially raw type, and food has never been a relationship issue for me. The fam will be fine as long as you’re not preachy.

Exactly! I mean, what if you just don’t like the taste of meat? You’re not going to eat it. Plain and simple.

Glad you’re having a nice vacay, MiMsy!! Looking forward to seeing the tatt!

I could never go vegan, I just don’t think you get enough nutrients to be healthy, let alone support an exercise regime. Vegetable protein is vastly inferior to animal protein - you don’t get a complete range of amino acids. I’ve been veggie (as a student) and that’s OK if you eat eggs but most veggies and vegans I’ve known look pasty and unhealthy. I don’t think a vegan “fast” would hurt but I wouldn’t do it long term. I would go full primal (meat and veg, no grains, few tubers and fruits) if I had the willpower because I honestly believe that’s the healthiest way to eat since we’re evolved to eat that way. But I like my treats and some carbs on occassion.

Anyway, good luck and tatt photos please!
