Dig Through the Ditches

Get him as your doctor! Trust me the fact that he scripts Armour is FANTASTIC!!!

No he will not let you dose yourself every two weeks. What I would aim for and what I think you could realistically get from him would be a dose increase every eight weeks based on your symptoms if possible or on your free t3 if he won’t go off sy,ptoms. You never know! For decades hypo was treated with armour in increasing dosage until the patient said they felt well!

Do some googling and see how much t3 is in armour I cant remember… if you can get a starting scrip with at lwast 15mcg of t3 in it (whatever amount of armour that turns out to be) you’ll be offf to a GREAT START yes even that little bit will help you feel better right off the bat.

What if one IS the limit?? What if he goes off JUST tsh and doesn’t even use ft3?
And hypo symptoms return after two weeks or so if you don’t keep going up or so I’ve read.

It also seems weird because Armour has been around for Decades. Talk about late to the party. Why just start studying it NOW? Something’s fishy, maybe they’re fishing for patients.

I guess I could email the guy my questions and save on gas instead. I’ll let you know.

Thanks Hall!

I had goofed big time yesterday and had PIZZA. Paid me back all last night…maybe I have enough stuff to pick up on the blood test.

just catching up on the dr. drama…

sheesh. hope this works out for you.

Hey Mim,
Some books you might be interested in?
Easy read self help type…
Tired of being tired by Hanley and Deville
Feeling fat, fuzzy, or frazzled by Shames

Good luck

I did an HOUR of cardio…and 10 minutes of stretching! :open_mouth:

Thanks N. Decided I’m going to skip the whole thing.
I’m going to work on finding a Doc outside of the network and start saving up money. Cause this is ridiculous. I can pay of for my own lab work too. Maybe getting other things looked at may provide clues as well. Progest, feritin, etc…

Hey German! Thanks for the recommendations. Those books are on my wish list actually. I just got the STTM book.

IF YOU HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO GET ARMOUR GET IT GET IT GET IT GET IT.
Some is better than NONE it has T3 in it which you need. No matter WHAT taking some WILL be better than taking NONE even if he doesn’t increase it as much as you want. Once you have a scrip it is WAY EASIER to get the next doc to work with that scrip.

I am yelling because I love you.

<3

I know… I’m just so confuzzled!! I’m getting mixed responses. I’ll PM you.

I’m actually emailing him now. Better to ask my questions straight up instead of wasting my gas.

hurray! um…yeah? I’m confused with all the thyroid stuff…but ti seems positive with the new med!

I think we give dogs this at my work…i’ll have to check into that. maybe you can get a script for a dog instead  I never said that though. I have no idea who typed that.

Yay!!! Happy to see you might finally be getting the care you deserve.

Btw—you are adorable!

MiMs = Adorbs!

Brute, it is super mind boggling, FOR SURE! I’ve had to educate myself on this as I go because the Dr’s out there just want to pass you along the line and hand you over there big pharm drugs.

hmm, I’ll pretend I didn’t see what you wrote…interesting…too bad I don’t have a dog with thyroid problems.

Oh my gosh… I’m watching ‘Forks over Knives’ and am probably going to go Vegan …In all seriousness I’ve always wanted to at least TRY IT. I suggested it for just one week…husband won’t budge. bah! I’ve seen FOOD INC and have read other various books. The information is out there and all signs point to a whole food plant based diet for health. so why I haven’t I taken the whole plunge??

Maybe if I do it the family will come around rubs hands together just like giving up gluten.

Anywho- gym’d it this morning…30 minutes of weights/30 min of cardio…(who AM I??!)

you are ALL ADORBS!!!
Thank you

the weird chcick inside you will appreciate this. I’m feeding her…

nom nom nom

Just a quick question. I know this person who wants to get her thyroid checked because she’s not losing any weight. However she just had a baby, but I would’ve thought you get more symptoms then just not being able to lose weight if it is a thyroid problem???

Hmm, maybe vegetarian, not sure about strict veganism.

we are headed out of town today to go to Michigan to be with the peoples for Thanksgiving!

I’ll try to check in…we won’t be back til next Tuesday morning…we travel at night since it’s easier with kids.

Take care out there and have a good Turkey day! I’m excited to nom down, haha. I’m also planning on getting my arm finished and inked up. yay!

Define ‘just had a baby?’

And is she nursing??

Strict veganism would be challenging. But I guess it depends on your views of how you got the eggs and dairy to your table.

I can cut back on my reliance of animal products to start. WAY BACK.

She stopped nursing.

Ya… I love my eggs and cheese too much!

We could do a veggie week together. Patches could give us advice.

I’m not a fan of extremes and favor moderation on all fronts. But that’s just cuz I want it all!!

That said, it could be a fun experiment! My friend Victor goes vegan for 1 month each year just to test his mental fortitude and he says he usually feels great, more energetic when he does. But then he becomes a whiney lil bitch and is all “I wanna cheezebeiga…waaaah” eye roll He almost throttled a man over a pulled pork sandwich. No joke.

Happy turkey day!! Get your noms on! Drive safe, mama!

How long has she stopped nursing for? Does she exercise/track cals, etc??

Going Veggie for a week sounds like a great idea!!!

Nope she’s not doing any of that. Going from one fad diet to another. Her husband is the one who says to get her thyroid checked out. I don’t want to be dismissive but it just sounds like she needs to get her diet together with no quick fixes. I also don’t know if maybe she’s going through some post baby depression thing, she had her baby 5 months ago.
