Having re-introduced Nautilus equipment in my training recently, I realized how much I like the Nitro series. The feel is great on most machines. Especially the leg press seems like the perfect machine to me. The vertical chest has a somewhat heavy feel to it, like pushing a huge block of steel - like it.
However, the gym also offers Nitro Plus variants on some machines. I’m having a hard time noticing any difference but pure cosmetics. Can’t find any info on the internet. Anyone updated on this? Excercises better, on which one?
pettersson, The differences are purely cosmetic. Shielding around the wt. stack and up to the top with a cup holder / recessed place on top of the shielding. Also, the back pads on some machines had a fancier, cushier split pad design, that could be ordered in two different colors if desired. No differences otherwise.

Is there a reliable timeline of Nautilus models? Nitro seem to be from the 90ties, and I would assume the Nitro Plus was a millenial version?
While doing research on the internet, I noticed Nautilus equipment no longer being manufactured? They are appearantly looking for a new owner of the brand name. Is that so?
The NITRO line came after the 2ST line. NITRO PLUS came shortly after but just cosmetic additions. Next up was the NITRO EVO line. Same machines, but with a different weight stack design. It allowed 5lb increments with one stack using a two-pronged selector pin that is inserted at an angle. Did away with the separate 5 and 10lb
mini stack. They were still producing NITRO machines when they came out with the “ONE” line. These are a total redesign of the line. The weight “stack” is a really innovative design. Kind of a commercial application of the Bowflex selectec dumbbells using a dial to select the weight.
The company that owns the commercial strength machine brand is called Core Health and fitness (corehandf.com). They no longer make the NITRO line. They do still make the NAUTILUS ONE line, which are the only machines that bear any resemblance to the machines of the Nautilus past. They also produce two other cheaper lines under the Nautilus name: Inspiration and Instinct. But these are low cost machines which bear no resemblance to the NAUTILUS machines from previous history. They also sell the commercial brands of StairMaster, Star Trac, and Schwinn.
