Difference Between MT and Boxing Gloves?

Oh also, how big is the hand compartment? I know you’re a big dude, and the Title Platinums I been working with are fucking HUGE. They literally are flying off my hands when I punch. I hate them.

These are actually first gel gloves I’ve owned…so I don’t really have a comparison. They won’t stand up on the knuckles…lol!
They feel pretty light! I was unsure they were truly 16oz…lol. Very compact compartment…but still cushioned enough for heavy sparring. Similar to real TWINS and some Fairtex gloves. Also…the inner wrist strap helps keep them secure without too much movement on the hand/wrist.

I do wish they had more of a rigid wrist/padding where glove compartment meets the wrist. Just a preference since I deal with block/parry kicks a lot. But they are put together well. They air out and dry pretty decent…as I can really open them up at the wrist. Inside material is sewn well. I strictly use them for sparring and tech/contact drills…so I expect a good last out of them. Good glove for strictly boxing I’m sure.

I’ve got boon’s in 12 and 16 oz. I do Muay Thai. The 12s feel slightly tighter than my winning 12 oz, and have a stiffer padding. They don’t open up as well as my winnings or my fairtex bgl6 10oz. I recommend boons to everyone. They had a QC issue that has since been resolved.

I really don’t like twins.

Well, Title is evidently backordered on the Boons until late September, and Kstargear is also out of stock… so that sucks.

The good point, however, is that I found Ring to Cage actually has a showroom in East Rutherford that I can go to and try gloves on at - and I’m amped as fuck about that. I’m going to head down there on Wednesday.

Any recommendations on which ones to look at Big Boss? I’m gonna look at your training gloves, and the MiM sparring gloves also…

If you get the chance try these^^ they are winning clones.

Ah yea I saw those. But between that hideous logo that makes them look like MMA gear and the fact that they’re laceups, they’re out for me.

I’m sure they’re quality though. They look good (aside from that logo).

First of all…I’m jealous…lol. I think they have quality products. I use their Thai pads and focus mitts as well. The one’s I own are the first gloves I’ve owned of theirs. I really don’t have any other recommendations…other than the MiM you’ve scoped out already. Let me know what you think, bro!

Well Boss, I took your advice, and their storeroom is AWESOME. Even had a heavy bag to try them out on.

This is what I ended up with.

Last one.

Gotta say, these are some pretty incredible gloves. I love the machine-injected foam, and I can hit more or less any bag and not feel a thing with these.

The leather is great, they’re built solidly, and even though they’re a bit of a pain in the ass to get on alone at first, once I got used to it, it wasn’t such a big deal.

Far, far better than any Title glove I have tried. Ring to Cage gets an A+.

Nice! Nothing beats trying them on and testing them before buying…I envy you…lol. I’m curious as to how the last…keep us posted…and/or I will be asking myself!

Nice, one of my training partners has the same gloves and loves them. Glad you wound up finding something you are happy with.
