DiezelWeazel is Doing a Good Job!

I really admire this kid’s dedication and work ethic.

He’s not the biggest and strongest guy around but he 's working hard to achieve his goals.
He deserves big respect!

He posted that a couple of weeks ago himself on here. I was VERY plesantly surprised.

I’m not familiar with Sheiko, what’s “evaluation”? Is that a day to test 1RM’s used to base the cycles percentages?

In any event, I think his squat is by far his most improved lift. His squat used to be horrible. Not only was it ugly, it was weak. He’s finally hitting some higher poundages with decent form.

That kid has really come a long way.

Yeah!
Deep with decent form.

He obviously has a spine which is bullet-proof, considering his form in the old days.

But he always had the passion! And with that and time comes results.

He deadlifts 500 and squats 415, how come he isnt freaking jacked right now? I thought those were BIG guy numbers.

the biggest guy is not always the strongest guy.

and he is a perfect example of that.

Am I the only one who thinks his dl looks scary. I know form breaks down, but it seems like he starts off with a rounded back.

no

everyones different, and if he plans on getting big by gaining weight at his pace and training the way he is it will take a long time.

but it looks like he has the drive to get there, even if it takes 20 years.

Agreed, noticed that as well.

As for the guy not being jacked, he does seem to have managed to gain some weight. Didn’t he use to be around 150 pounds when he first started posting here, then about 160 when he started that hilarious picture thread?

It looks like he still hitches his deadlifts though, I cant say its good form, but he got the weight up I guess.

It could be argued he needs to back down and rework his deadlifts if he a want to not injure his self and or compete

I may be wrong, but almost everyone I’ve seen maxing out on deads will round their back.

As for you gotta be big to be strong, look at this:
http://www.usapowerlifting.com/newsletter/20/profiles/profiles.html

Weight Class: 123

Age: 18

Best Competition Lifts:
Squat - 505 (RAW @123)
Bench - 330 (USAPL Open Record)
Deadlift-370

Um, what? This is on the level of trolling. Quit it. These are not “BIG” guy numbers to say the least. I am not putting him down, but this is not what a “big” guy at 180 lbs can do if you catch my drift. He has a way to go, but he’s on the right track.

If he doing Sheiko, he won’t be jacked since it’s not a body building routine in any way, shape or forum, unless he has severely modified it.

Bench doesn’t count for a guy being jacked, just lower body lifts? I don’t understand your logic.

He’s doing a lot better than before, that doesn’t even need to be stated at this point.

For anyone that asked or wants to know, Sheiko doesn’t have a 'max evaluation." He’s just determining what he should base his work sets on… 80% of his max, etc.

That’s not true. Most Sheiko competition/peaking cycles have a test/evaluation day built in three weeks prior to the planned competition.

I could swear he was lighter and stronger a few months ago. I thought he was like 165lbs deadlifting more like 565?

Not hatin here DW.

As others have mentioned…

How do you expect a guy doing mainly ME work (whatever the sheiko guys call that) to end up jacked? Lifting 500 1-3 times doesn’t make you big.

You need to get stronger in the hypertrophy rep-ranges, is that so hard to understand.

Powerlifters get big from lifting big numbers on their assistance work for reps.
