I’m on a diet that if you can’t hunt it or grow it, don’t eat it, and it’s working really well. I’m eating cottage cheese now, which has 5G of lactose/food starch in half a cup, should I replace this with something else? Also, I’m taking protein powder and see nothing wrong with it since it’s so pure, but does anyone that’s been on a diet similar to this have any tips concerning protein powder, or any additional tips? Thanks.
“Don’t sweat the small stuff and don’t pet the sweaty stuff”. 5G of carbs is really nothing to worry about. Protein powder is fine. What the diet really means is no processed foods (meaning hydrogenated, partially hydrogenated, chemaical additives, etc) or man made foods. If you really want to get technical, it was originally stated as picked fresh or caught today and eaten raw or slightly cooked. No added anything. Just as nature made it. Cottage cheese does not exist in nature, we make it, but it is fine. Same goes for protein powder.
