I’m having a hard time figuring out what I should be eating everyday. I’m 6’ 165 and trying to add bulk right now. I usually have about 150-200g of protein a day. How many cals should I take in daily? I know i’m being really specific but any suggestions on good things to eat in order to get the proper calories?
If you search around a bit you should find some good articles about bulking up on the site.
Look for Berardi and/or Massive Eating.
protein: 1-2x bodyweight
carbs: 2-4x bodyweight
fat: you get enough, don’t worry about it. olive oil, peanut butter, flax seeds/oil… just take a little bit, not sure on the # for this one

LOL if your looking for a # .4-.6g per lb is the said area for fats. But man at 6’ 165 your a rail. You njust need to eat sure make it clean but eat and eat more eat until you gain plain and simple as long as your gaining 1-2 lbs a week or so your doing it right.
No one can give you a solid equation that wont have to be tweaked to fit you by you were all different.
Id check out the Massive eating reloaded program has you up the intake in a good manner until you are gaining.

good deal, but the majority of people do get enough fat. it’s just a general equation that helps people often. like they take in enough protein, but not NEARLY enough carbs.
and phill is correct, that’s why there’s so much discrepancy in the one i put up there… individual differences. generally for trying to gain though, it’s a good place to start.
