Diet Critique

Okay so after resetting my metabolism after the V-Diet I have continued my cutting experience and have broken my diet into such:

Total Calories: 2947
Carbs: 78 grams
Fat: 155 grams
Protein: 310 grams

Carb-up day (once a week)
Carbs: 195 grams
Fat: 155 grams
Protein: 310 grams

Carbs are coming from Surge PWO, peanut butter, and a bit of ketchup, and a fiber supplement (20 grams worth).

Protein is Metabolic Drive, pork, chicken, tuna fish, bacon.

Fat is from pork, bacon, peanut butter, fish oil (12g).

My BMR is around 3200-3700 depending on the day. On days where I’m not lifting my carbs are a bit lower as I don’t have Surge.

Critique? Advice? Any and all is welcome. I’m trying to eventually get contest ready and do my first show in the next 3 months.

Approximately 200 lbs, 11% bodyfat.

Hmm anyone, anyone at all? Also should I be taking Surge after cardio or only after lifting?

Surge after lifting only, unless your cardio sessions are insane.

How tall?

Weight?

3000kcals is quite a bit during cutting. What was your caloric intake on the vdiet, how much did you lose?

Caloric intake on V-Diet was 1500-1700. Lost 12 lbs. I’m 5’10" right around 193 lbs I’d say. I hadn’t been on the scale since ending the V-Diet so I decided to weigh in this morning and hit 193.

I have lacrosse practice 5 days a week, usually have a game or two every week. I lift 3 times a week (EDT) and do steady state cardio 3 times a week while fasted.

wow if you follow Don’t Diet by Berardi…you could probably eat about 4-5000 kcals a day and do a slow body recomp. i have insane respect for you if you did the V-Diet while playing lacrosse. props for that

also, depending on how long you’ve been doing this diet, try switching to a lower fat, higher carb, slightly lower protein diet, i guarantee just because you’ve changed something you will see progress.

Well I’ve been high fat/high protein for the better part of two years and have seen great results from all of it. At this point I’m going on spring break next week so was just lookin to be in decent shape for it, honestly could care less though. I really just want to get the bodyfat down to take some stress off my knees/ankles during the season and get my speed up a bit.

V-diet during the season definitely sucked. It’s warm here most of the time so we had practice as soon as we all got back from Christmas break.
