Amrosi is one of the “Bali Bombers” that bombed a club in Bali, Indonesia, killing about 200 people, the next ‘signifcant’ terrorist attack caused by Islamic extremists after Sept. 11th. JI, the group Amrosi is in, has ties to al Qaeda.
Amrosi was caught last year, tried and a few days ago was convicted & supposed to get the death penalty but he’s appealing the conviction. He was nicknamed ‘The Smiling Assassin’ by the Australian press because he’s shown no remorse for those killed, aside from the Indonesian victims, and has been smiling and joking about what he did, even when the judge delivered the death sentence.
There was another bombing in Jakarta, Indonesia, earlier this week outside a Marriott hotel with at least 11 dead and 100 injured which has been attributed to JI. That’s what O’Shea is referring to.

They made their very biggest mistake on 9/11. They might as well have signed a death sentence. Bali was our personal 9/11. I didn’t care for war and I personally think that Bali mightn’t have happened otherwise. Dictators and extremists deserve what they get, for us and for the Muslim world. Aussies died on 9/11 too, they nearly killed Thorpedo (Ian Thorpe) I believe.
Amrosi appears to have lost faith in his Hefnerish paradise (14 virgins, milk & honey). Not exactly a T-diet is it?. Ok maybe the virgins, but only in a meaningful relationship:)
