Blizzard has ninjas that kill disloyal fans, so I’d be careful what I say in this thread.

Yeah, what’s great about Diablo is the dangling carrot of new weapons, level ups, etc. They exploit that aspect of game play better than anyone else. But still, there’s a certain level of graphics that are expected from all new games. I’m not entirely convinced the game won’t look like it does now, but we’ll see.

I doubt it’s gonna do anything good, but if the petition gets enough names Blizzard is at least gonna have to recognize the issue.

The “How It Should Look” shots are nasty.
It certainly has a Starcraft II feel to it. I’m pretty excited.
I feel sorry for the Barbarian, but I’m SO excited. I wanna try it ASAP.

I don’t, using gold as money for gear would suck unless they took a page out of d2jsp’s book and did it like FG. If you find currency on the ground, it’s not backed up by anything unless you can buy GOOD gear from vendors. Which would suck, and make everyone have the same characters, same gear, etc. The gold should be bought with real $ or not at all. I don’t want to be able to buy half of my gear from a vendor, that would be gay.
We really have no idea how far along they are. Rumor is the game is nearly done. They have only shown 2 classes so far, barbarian and witch doctor. I am sure there is lots left that will be incredible.

Something I would like to see in three is random quest like in one. Too me that made that game truly great and was my bigest gripe with two was you had the same quest every time you play

2x, the game seems to be less awesome the more I look at it. I hope someone makes a mod that can change the graphics, even though blizz said mods won’t be incorperated. D2 was rediculously easy to hack though once you knew a bit of scripting. D3 will probably be too, for the first couple on months. I just hope we won’t have to deal with stuff like aa, tmc, farcast, etc.

get a better computer. They shouldn’t make a game worse so people without average quality computers can play it. Should at least have the option so it doesn’t have to look like I’m playing fucking world of warcraft.

The necromancer is likely a goner. As are probably the rest of the diablo II classes. It kind of pisses me off. I’m going to misas my bone nec, blizz sorc, and various amazons.
I might not get the game if the classes are all ghey like the witchdoctor. D3 is turning out to be more of a fail as it goes by. People are complaining about no respec and stuff. It’s rediculous. Can’t trust WOW retards making a diablo game. I doubted the developers even played dI+II.

I hear that there will be no synergies either. And a lot of the skills will be capped at 5 points. In the gameplay vid, you can see the barb with skills like “Whirlwind: 1/1”.

You do realize this game has been in development for nearly four years now and is close to being finalized? Blizzard has stated that most of the current and remaining development will focus on adding game content, NOT changing the artistic desgins (which is what they should be doing).
Necromancer is gay? This is Diablo. The very name is synonimous with satan. That is why ‘witchdoctors’ or WoW cartoon shamans were never in the previous games.
Blizzard should care. This is not WoW. And it is not a smart business move to get people who play WoW to simply switch to d3, when there is a HUGE market of former d3 players - many of which will realize, on the release day, that what they are playing is not Diablo anymore, but a WoW sellout.
If you truly think that any game to be released by Blizzard is going to be great because “blizzard can’t make a game that isn’t” then you must be pretty naive. I suppose you would buy a game full of rainbows, unicorns and flowers, if it had the word “Diablo” and “Blizzard” plastered onto it.
I don’t know about you, but I’m looking for an experience (and a mature, visceral one at that) when I play a game. I don’t see any distinct quality when I look at what they have done with d3. All I see is them regurgitating the same PG-13 crap that they did with WoW, just because they are under the assumption that that is whats going to sell more now.
I didn’t play Diablo to see cartoon graphics or elves with blue skin. There is another, campier game for that.

You’re 100% right, and that’s why I’m pissed off. I don’t dig the cartoony giant tiles, and disporportionate characters they said would be included in the interviews. I don’t think blue/green are horror colors. I want the old character classes back, or at least similar ones. I doubt the people who are making it never played the diablo games for more then 10 hours.
The people who actually made DI+DII should be pissed off at the abomination this game is turning out to be. By removing a lot of the old classes, they have to pull more lore out of their ass, which I’m betting is going to be pretty bad. All of the other classes form d2 had good lore surounding them.
Pulling 4+ more characters out of their respective asses is going to be repetitive, except worse. For example, my beloved necro with the ghey witchdoctor. I can’t wait until there are no cool classes in this game.
p.s. I don’t like the idea of the skill tree changing either. It seems like you can be a jack of all trades. Which isn’t a diablo thing. God, these morons are setting this game up for an epic fail. I’ll probably end up selling it used to one of my WOW junky friends.
Look at the bright side, when WC4 comes out, they can’t possibly fuck that up, can they?
